Preferably someplace with a patio. Any good spots?

The best? The Boil House...but it's a tiny place.
Just about any patio bar here in town will have boiled crawfish on the weekends, just know that they probably won't be anywhere near what you're used to in Louisiana.

I'll second The Boil House and add The Boot.
I went to The Brass Tap in Midtown last weekend and they were really good as well.
Be careful as a lot of places here sprinkle seasoning on their crawfish and call it 'spicy'

Do you mean after they put the crawfish in a tray?

Pooks crawfish hole in Santa Fe. BYOB.
But it would be quite a drive from anywhere but the South side.
They are damn good though. La owner. No dusting the bugs.

Yes, it's a horrible practice by a lot of restaurants here.

Not a restaurant but HEB actually does pretty good crawfish. They use Louisiana and they don't dust. At least this is the case for the one near my house - Katy area.

Yeah you will find spots that ask if you want spicy. This just basically means that they sprinkle extra seasoning on top. There shouldnt be any options unless you are going to one of those specialty Asian type places.

went to Bayou City Seafood & Pasta last night. Year in and year out its been my go to. Last night they were not quite seasoned enough for my liking, but still good (they do not dust, unless you request spicy). Size was medium, with just a few the were mushy. Overall I like the place and on Wednesday its $6.95 per lb all day...which is still insane but actually a good price in Houston.

I'd bet 80% of the places that yall are saying don't dust, boil in seasoned water, don't soak, then sprinkle in an ice chest.

Boil house is some of the best restaurant crawfish anywhere imo.

How is pooks getting Fer those bugs. Santa fe isn't that far for me.

I have not gone this year. But I've never had a "bad" batch there. It was really close when I lived in League City, and it was consistently good. I know they opened for the season just a few weeks ago. I cant imagine the bugs are of any size though.
But if you've never been, take the ride down 6 and try them.

I have never had this problem with them. Got a sack Sunday and all alive.

I’ll second The Brass Tap in Midtown. The guys down there do it right and get bonus points for having Ghost on tap to wash them down. Their patio is a great spot to watch a day slip by.

If you are near the Humble/Kingwood area, That One Place is pretty legit. They also have great snowballs.
