What kind of snowflake pussy would take offense to that ad?
I get egregious stupidity isn’t offensive to you because you’re egregiously stupid, but others don’t suffer from that affliction.

Cultures don't drastically change. That's what culture is. Something that has maintained its way of being over time. Walking down Parade Avenue on the Fourth of July waving any flag but the Stars and Stripes is not American culture yet many people are getting comfortable with the fact that the American flag is a symbol of exceptionalism/nationalism. Those type people are not culturalists, they are interlopers.

Corrected. I guess that exposed my cultural heritage huh?

I liked the ad too.
I’m sure lots of people liked the ad just fine. There had to have been at least a room full of people who really liked the Gillette “what it means to be a man” ad as well.
But for every person that feels good about bringing a groups self-identity down in the name of inclusivity, there’s the group itself who kinda likes themselves just fine.
If you want to trade business for politics, hey I’m sure there’s another airline that thanks you.

Why would this be your take from this?

So they use the same marketing people as Gillette?

.....and the Globalist-One World Government radicals want to do away with the concept of money as in denomination of bills. That includes doing away with those Federal Reserve Notes you and I use. Everyone walks around with insertable microchips. Scan the microchip at the market and buy food. Go to your doctor and the nurse scans your medical records on the microchip. Scan for everything. Plus, they can track everyone that way. From there they can expand to control everyone. So they will argue, move towards One World Government to save the planet .
Elect a Bernie Sanders and they begin to put in microchips.

I don’t understand the left’s obsession with this toxic self-hate.
Its used as a status symbol on the left. The more you hate yourself and your cultural identity, the higher up the woke scale you get to sit.

Never takes a stand at all. Just belittles others when they offer their opinions.
Only his opinion is correct though.
Oh yeah. You are right. He’s a douche.

Um... because that’s exactly what they’re doing?
“What does it mean to be Scandinavian? Absolutely nothing.”
What else is that line supposed to do other than demean Scandinavians?

This ad isn’t just stupid, it is evil. As OP points out, the point is to indoctrinate people with the belief that there is no such thing as a nation, a national culture and, by extension, a family.

I don't know. I just see it more as saying, a lot of what is seen as our "uniqueness" comes from what our marauding ancestors learned and took from other places, so go out and see the world and do likewise.
"Culture" is not created in a vacuum. You don't have to be a full blown modern day one world all encompassing globalist to recognize and acknowledge that.

It was a provocative hyperbole hook (actually worded a bit differently than you are attempting to quote it), drawn out with a good bit more nuance through the entirety of the ad, that I interpreted to ultimately say what I said.
You (and obviously others) saw it as saying something else and maybe didn't choose to see any further nuance. Hence the provocative aspect.
Does that make it a good ad or a bad ad? Who knows?

It is a brand awareness ad. Not a product ad.
Are people now more aware of Scandinavian Airlines? Yep.
In a good way or a bad one? THAT is the question. Time will tell.

No it’s not the question.
The question is whether developed nations have moved to a level of stupidity where this could possibly affect their brand in a good way.
That is the question.
