In high school 200 pushups versus a paddle for being bad was worth it.

This kid must be a fat f&ck.

Fit people get rhabdo more than out of shape people. Fatties and out of shape folks quit a workout before they can develop rhabdo. An intense workout overstressing muscles is why rhabdo and CrossFit got linked.

Attempting 200 continuous pushups could do that for someone not accustomed to it. He could have also been dehydrated. I know someone who got it from the Karen WOD which is 150 wall balls for time.

Rhabdo is no joke.

It really isn't. Not only could it frick up your kidneys, there's a chance that the impacted muscles can become nonviable. In the early days of CrossFit, people were getting Rhabdo from GH situps. It was common enough that most of us would actively avoid the GH machine.

i seriously doubt the kid did 200 continuous push ups. being able to do at least 75 continuous is considered advanced.

This shite wouldn't happen to a kid with decent parents. No good parent would allow their child to live such a sedentary lifestyle that his body cant take doing 200 pushups.

Damn. We were forced to do elbows and toes for 2 minutes in junior high for cutting up in class. That's worth at least $50 grand.

Doesn’t this “condition” happen to most people who exercise? If so, then it was a cheap blood/urine test by an attorney to get a pay check.

Better question is why was the kid late to a practice. Be late and get paid is a horrible message.

100 in a row is considered very elite

Most people in this thread probably could only do 25

"In Mother Russia we do pushup with no hand"

But seriously 200 pushups at one time is a lot. I've been smoked the hell out in the Army plenty and never had to do 200 pushups straight.

Yeah, I could do the hell out of sit ups though. I used to do 400 a morning few years back.

I'd sure as hell give it a try for $175,000 though

Navy SEAL qualification PT test only requires 50, with 80 as being very competitive. No one in this thread had ever done 200 real pushups in a row.

That skinny little band nerd probably couldn’t do 2 push-ups, mush less 200. I bet he won’t be tardy to marching band practice again.
