SPOT ON. We lose people in zone def and even on the AUB GW-shot we let a player drive all the way to the paint for a mid-range floater. Make him pick up his damn dribble or dish it! Until we play better D this team will continue to blow big leads. They should have put AUB away, early and often. It should not have been a close game.
Bounce back Tigers, and get to work.

I'm no chicken little but when you keep doing the same things that consistently cost you games you can see where there might be doubt. Mays has the game of his life but makes a stupid turnover at end of game and takes a bad shot at end of regulation .Taylor going underneath the screens to give open 3 shots. Letting a 56% FT shooter go down the lane untouched for winning layup.You can't go on a run in any tourney playing like that at the end of close games. The decisions we make are baffling at times. That said they played outstanding for most of the game and they will go on to win many more games but this really makes the Vanderbilt loss sting even more.

Pre-season: We lost a lot this year. Making the NCAAT would be a success
Pre-SEC: We suck. Some really bad losses in there.
Mid-way SEC: I'm going to ignore all my other expectations and be angry we aren't going 18-0 after starting 8-0.
This loss sucked. A lot. Auburn has done this to a bunch of teams. Ole Miss led them by 17.
Arkansas led by 11 with 6 minutes left in regulation and only scored 4 points the rest of the way.
It's a flaw of Auburn that they need those kinds of runs to win games, and it has worked so far. Especially at home.
LSU is a fringe top-25 team, and I see nothing that has changed that over the last week.

Wade is not above criticism. He admitted after the game that he should have called a timeout before final possession in regulation.
But at the same time, he's also earned some slack and trust for the miracle job he's pulled off turning a shite program into an SEC champion in only two years. There's a difference in reasonable criticism and overzealous bashing by "fans" jumping on and off the bandwagon.

You’re right. Joe Alleva fricked our chances at a great run this year when he suspended WW on a speculative Yahoo report.
Thankfully he’s no longer nearly as involved as he was this time last year, if at all.

I don’t know about chicken little fans but if you’re not criticizing will wade and the coaching staff for a second straight game for lack of adjustments then you’re not really a very knowledgeable basketball fan.
They make excuses for failure and totally accept it. (Hence the term "Mediocrity Acceptor")
"Mediocrity Accepteptance" is engrained into their culture and that mindset will never change either.
Just browse the Rant every day and it's consistently on display.
