In 2016, Jang Ji-sung’s seven-year-old daughter Nayeon died of an incurable disease. Three years later, the South Korean mother was reunited with Nayeon — sort of — in a virtual world created for a televised documentary.

On Thursday, the Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation shared a clip from the special documentary, titled “I Met You,” on its YouTube page, with the footage cutting between the “real world” and the virtual one.

Watched 2 minutes of the video

Not sure what to think, it may help some with closure but I could see it preventing it too

I’ve had a few good friends die.
All tragic and has scarred anyone that has loved them.
I would think every parent I know would do this.
The most devastating thing would be removing vr and going home. It would be crushing.
As a parent, I’d immediately cry if something was offered to me like this.

I pray no parent has to go through that. Our kids should be the ones burying us.

Yea that's a hard no for me. Me and my 1st wife lost 2 children one to SIDs and the other was stillborn...I could see the closure aspect, but the void I have from it, I would want a touch or something physical anything less is a serious play on my own emotions and opening the grieving process wide open...it might help for some, yet for me, no thanks.

I would have a tough time doing this. Mostly cause it’s not real. Sorry, I’m not crying over a super Mario version of my kid.

I felt like I was intruding in a really private moment. I'm sure the developers did too but I get the impression that's sorta what they want. It's like this weird sympathy porn.

I'm sure we're just a few years removed from a full time Ready Player One type immersive lifestyle anyway but I don't know if this is the proper use of it.

At what point do you guys blame yourself for this? I mean, sure one kid- anything can happen but two? That's a pattern.

That’s hard to watch as a father. One of the saddest things I’ve recently seen

You are either young or you’re a no getting laid prick.
If you’re not either then you’re worse than the above.
