So how moderate is Sinema and Manchin again?

Both voted guilty in both articles.
Neither of them are moderate, they may not have outlandish sound bites and hang with the progressive wing but it's still all a front. Push comes to shove they voted to convict Trump.
Both aren't up until 2024 but I suspect this has a profound impact on 2020 with the other AZ senate between McSally and Kelly (Dem challenger). Kelly has been running on being "moderate" like his colleague in Sinema but that all just went down the toilet. I thought for sure she'd vote to acquit and McSally would lose her seat now it's the opposite. She can no longer say she's moderate and whatever Kelly runs on will be lies.
As for Manchin 4 yrs is still a long way out and plenty of time to forget this by West Virginians but I suspect the GOP will go very hard at his seat.

They're not as stupid as Romney. However they voted, the result was inevitable. Play along to get along. They both support the President many more times than Democrats.

It’s not that they are flirting with conservatism, that’s just how far the left has moved to the left. Unbelievable really.

How in the absolute frick did Manchin win West Virginia anyways
Who are these retards that voted 30%+ for Trump but elected Manchin?
Jesus christ people. Just as bad as the retards in Florida that werent going to vote for Rick Scott in the Senate.

I said this during the LA governor race.
At the end of the day, the Dems always fall in line. There is no independent thought, there are no mavericks.
They will always, always, toe the party line.
Maybe if they were up for re-election in 2020, maybe. But they are't. So they follow the party line and do as they are told.

Sinema broke my heart.
But the stakes were too high politically for anyone to jump ship.

They are Democrats. What do you expect from them?

Manchin was governor during the disaster at Sago Mine.
He endeared himself to the people of West Virginia and the nation in the way he handled it. He came off as a strong leader.
He just lost his national shine. I hope he lost it at home too.

Oh shut the frick up with this bullshite. Today was the best case scenario for democrats as Romney crossed the aisle and no dems broke rank. This was clearly bullshite and if they are going to go against the POTUS on something so clearly false they are no benefit to republicans or Americans

Both voted guilty in both articles.
this is why i had concerns it might flip 51-49 guilty to give them a majority voted guilty narrative
glad no other rinos sided with the dimrats as i feared they might

They did last time. Trump did multiple rallies in WV for the Republican challenger and he still lost. Those coal miners just love Manchin for some reason.
