That's crazy how much anger and disgust you can muster up from someone that bounces a basketball for a living.

At least we waited until 3 days after someone’s death to go back to being idiots on this board. Might be a record.

I posted this in another thread but it applies so:

Lebron and Kobe became very close once Lebron joined the Lakers.

Sorry a guy who was visibly and obviously emotionally hurting didn’t write something you deemed acceptable hours after losing a close friend and mentor.

It was very heart felt and obviously written with emotion. As a Laker fan I thought it was well done and honored Kobe.

Kobe took the reigns from Magic who took the reigns from Kareem. Now Lebron has taken them from Kobe. I saw it as Lebron making a promise to a friend to honor the legacy they helped build

Lakers fans have zero problem with it.

Former players had no problem with it.

Kobe’s family had no problem with it.

If you had an issue with what he said then the problem is with you, not Lebron

I just saw this is what Lebron said about Kobe. Dude couldn't even let them clean up the wreckage before he tried to make this about himself. What a fricking a-hole.

What else did Lebron write? I mean, that can’t be it, right?

Hmmm, are you talking about the Kobe mourners or the folks that think LeBron is a totally self absorbed jackass?

They were friends. I don’t think anyone here is in a position to judge LBJ.

Kind of thinking the same thing for the wailing and gnashing of teeth over Kobe.

It works both ways. It’s crazy how much love and admiration people can have for someone who dribbles a basketball for a living. How much time they can spend defending them also.

No way OP took this out of context just to make up something to be angry about

I can judge him for his stance on Hong Kong.

Thank you. I've posted the full thing multiple times here for the people who cherry pick one part to get triggered.

The part about carrying on Kobe's Lakers legacy is a small part of a long post where LeBron clearly expresses caring for Kobe and sadness for his family.

This board will just pick anything to go after LeBron.

I don’t know how you can compare stuff like this but obvi there are many many players league wide who were closer w Kobe than lebron. Any of the NBA players from LA, for instance.

Obvi how WBB?

Lebron is one of the longest tenured players in the league, with significant career overlap with Kobe. And he was a known basketball commodity for years before before he even entered the league. He took the best player in the league mantle from Kobe at whatever point it happened. Wade talked at length last night about how Kobe reached out to him at times and took him and other young players under his wing, why would anyone think he didn’t do that with lebron? Coach k talked about how Kobe and lebron were the catalysts of the 2008 Olympic team. There have been other first hand accounts given about how close the 2 of them became that summer. Lebron spent summers in LA and has been there full time for a year and a half now.

Not to mention, I would think someone as well traveled as you lie about being would understand where someone is “from” is virtually irrelevant in this day and age with regard to forming relationships. I wonder why the nets decided to let Kyrie sit out the other night when he was devastated, given that he’s not from LA or anything like that and therefore couldn’t possibly be that close with Kobe.

So, in what way is your theory obvi WBB?

So is rape

I like how people bring this up.. Even in the media. I know the whole situation in 2003 but if you are going to accuse him of something, at least accuse him of something you know he did. He admitted to have relations with the girl at the resort.

He was 25 years old at the time, a 19 year old female who gave him a tour of the resort, later went up to his room. She then claimed she was raped, but then the police was unable to get medical evidence since she had sex with someone else in that 15 hr period.

She reported it, but then refused to show up for court then settled for an undisclosed amount. So why did he settle out of court? I'd say to just get it out of the media.

He apologized to his wife on live TV. And if she really wanted to, she could have filed for divorce and took him to the cleaners.

As for as Lebron. I always liked Lebron until he went to the Lakers because I always hated the Lakers (except for the time Shaq was there), but I don't think his intent was at all to make it about him. I took it as if he is saying he is going to keep Kobe "with them" and was speaking from a leadership point of view.

This board has acted like the biggest bunch of weeping pussies with Kobe’s death

You are someone who knew kobe Bryant nothing more than a figure on tv, and you are telling someone who is an actual friend how to handle his death

Christ people pick your testicles back out of your sisters purses

It's just a pretense to try to inject James Harden into this thread.
