Couldn’t we have paid Bo 1 mil.

Like why pay him Arranda money? He was coming from Youngstown state where he had been forgotten about. He was on no ones radar... would he have done less if we paid less? We could have offered incentives and bonuses but how was 2.5 mil necessary?

Because assistant salaries are going up. If you offer him $1MM that’s telling him you don’t value him anywhere near Aranda.

He has proven he can field top caliber championship defenses. Who else you willing to pay? And if you hire anyone worth a damn that hasn’t accomplished what Bo has you’re still paying around 1.5-2 mil a year. That what attracts top coaches, and we have a proven coach. So stop bitching.

Why do you care? It’s Monopoly money for LSU. If they want to fire him, Orgeron or anyone, they’ll do it and they won’t worry about how much they owe anybody.
They made a metric ton off football last year. In three years, possibly sooner, the SEC football TV contract gets multiplied by 6 when ESPN/ABC takes over. And LSU will raise ticket prices whether that money comes in or not and whether they pay Bo Pelini $2.3 million or $230K.
Relax and don’t sweat the money LSU is spending.

I'm pretty confident now that no matter what Bo would've been paid, people still would have bargain-bitched.
