He will get a bond when arrested. They don't set it right away in these situations sometimes..
Trust me, there will be a bond. The only way you don't get a bond is ,if you were already on probation or if it's a murder or if it's a person that appears to be a flight risk.
Even sex crimes get bonds
It's got to be way worse then this. Reading the story, I'll be shocked if hes convicted of a felony when all is said and done. He will accept a lesser charge and have the other dropped upon an agreement for misdemeanor probation.
Looks like the burglary part is a bit of a stretch

Guy is a head case. He needs to be in a mental health facility before he causes real harm to someone. The world would be better if he just popped himself before he hurts or kills someone else

It’s 18,000 sq ft with 12 bedrooms and 14 bathrooms. It appears there may be a chapel inside

Does he not have family that can intervene and get him some help?

I get what you're saying, but I've never paid movers beforehand, have always cut them a check after they were done. Not sure if that's SOP or not but I've never been asked to pay up front.

Yet. Bond isn't set with the issuance of a warrant

Imagine being one is his neighbors. My guess is that they’re counting down the days until he loses that house.

not really. It fits the statute in California. Burglary is just theft in a dwelling or forced entry in a motor vehicle with the intention of committing a theft, which is what happened.
However, he'll probably plead it down to simple assault and get probation and a fine.

I’m surprised that the movers don’t get paid in advance, but I guess they have contracts that say the property is collateral until they get paid.

Is there a way we can find out if he's got a mortgage orowns it free and clear?

Who cares about this idiot? I’m tired of hearing about this train wreck.

That man has to have psychological problems, maybe caused by brain trauma. I feel bad for him. Not sure if he can be helped. I hope he can. He’s a ticking time bomb.

This dude was guaranteed 29 million had he just shown up in August to Oakland and behaved. That blows my mind.

good thing Florida has almost an identical statute but even more open ended to support a burglary warrant

Burglary to a conveyance is the legal description in Florida of a criminal offense more commonly referred to as an “auto burglary.” Under Florida Statute Section 810.02, the prosecutor must prove that you “entered” the conveyance with the intent to commit a crime once inside.
