The Sun Dome (USF) I always found interesting. Inside it seemed smaller than what it was. Went for NCAA game as a kid and for some game when at SMS.

Diddle Arena (WKU) would get loud when we played there.

Does Haas Pavillion’s floor move like Maples? Maples floor would move I guess earthquake codes or something. It was strange walking on it.

Whatever Texas techs arena is called now

Say what you will about the Erwin center, it seats 16k (it can) and is probably a lot bigger than most teams get exposed to

Same with Marquette in the bucks arena

Seems to be the theme among teams in older places moving to the bigger pro style arenas
South Carolina from the Coliseum to the Colonial Life Arena
NC State from Reynolds to the PNC Arena
Probably more but those come to mind for me

The old Tech hell hole was interesting. Heart O America in Waco was strange vibe.

Tech new place is United Supermarkets used to be ATT or something like that when Coach Knight was there

Did anyone here ever go to UT Arlington’s old arena? Has to be one of the most unusual environments ever. Playing on a stage!

Kentucky from Memorial to Rupp
UNC from Carmichael to the Dean Dome

I've always heard Carmichael was Cameron Indoor before Cameron Indoor became what it was.

My Dad was the department head of H&PE and his office was in this building. My brother and I used to go to work with him and have our run of the gym when no one was there. The smells in that building and the echoes of sneakers squeaking on that floor are haunting to me. RIP Dad. Miss him more every day.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you here, I'm not sure I've ever once seen a good atmosphere at the Erwin Center

This the oddest environment I ever played in. The court is on NAU's football field, so you have a giant dome with like 50 yards of empty dome behind the seats. It was like playing in the middle of a HS gym dropped into the middle of a plain.

My dad has been running the clock there for 30+ years. Had a great time during the Gerard king, blowfish, and free fries @ 100 years

Was just about to add Louisville to the list of teams moving to newer arenas. Went to the Yum Center a few years ago during the NCAA Tournament...it's too nice. Kept thinking to myself that it would seem weird watching a Tuesday December basketball there

Texas is getting rid of the Erwin Center and building a smaller arena (10K seats or so).

As for the original question, Bramlage can be great. The seats are so steep and their student section is right on top of the court.
