If they can get up there to cut his legs off why can’t they just hang another tarp?

Where is the New Orleans Fire Department?
They are pretty good at removing things efficiently.

Those photos will come in handy during mediation.

From what I hear, there is not nearly enough insurance money to cover the mountain of claims that are coming out of this collapse.

How many crushed bodies are still up there?
And when will the legs just fall off?
Maybe the pants will keep them secured

Just seems disrespectful to only post a pic for the gore of seeing the dead body.

Then I guess painting the legs and boots silver and putting a tip jar down there is out of the question...

it's smashed under multiple floors worth of concrete, steel and rebar, in a historic area, directly across from a historic theater that just spent millions being renovated. getting that dude out safely would be impossible in 3030. it doesn't matter what year it is.

Don’t let Zion Day distract you from the fact that New Orleans has a rotting corpse hanging off the 11th floor of a collapsed building and the government’s solution is that the citizens don’t share pictures on social media

I think ultimately they are all going to dump their money in the Registry of Court and let the plaintiffs fight it out. It is not just the personal injury claims, but the City's claims, and loss of business claims, and multiple other claims.

Highly unlikely man. All these entities carry a big primary policy, once thats exhausted you can then access the excess/umbrella coverage and some large construction companies have a "catastrophic" policy after you clean out the excess/umbrella coverage. Should be enough.

It's already been well established that the project owners are scumbag POS and the construction company is looking pretty sketchy right now as well. Given all of their other issues, being underinsured seems like a safe bet.

Remember, they didn't have access to the 5 million to hire the first demo team to bring down the cranes, so Hard Rock Corporate, in a sign of trying to be a good corporate citizen, lent them the money.

Plus if their underwriters believed they didnt have enough they would place all the policy funds in the court registry and let the plaintiffs fight it out. Happens all the time when you have several severe injuries and a small policy. We would have heard by now if this happened.

That's where this is going to end up. Once the underwriters admit the claims are valid, they will cut a check for policy max to the registry of the court.

This. So many people on FB last night, "oh why can't the city just yank the body out". How is that supposed to happen? Where are you going to put the equipment needed to raise up all the concrete off of the body, in order to take it out? Not to mention, disturbing the debris may cause a slide of sorts, and additional problems.

Every moment, every dollar, needs to be spent on the quick and safe teardown of that building, so we can perhaps get the body that way, and this poor family can move on.
