The Baylor premium board, that's been 100% accurate with all the other LSU coaches leaving, just chimed in saying they're confident he will be the DL coach at Baylor.

There is also smoke that Aranda may hire the ULL DC as his DC. That may increase the likelihood that Busch stays at LSU.

Guess this means that Bill Johnson will continue to coach the d-line. Which is fine with me.

Yep, I think that's pretty confirmed at this point.

I have no problem with a person leaving for a better coaching opportunity but to try and take other staff members is pretty chicken shite. I remember Kirby doing the exact same thing when he went to UGA and Saban got pissed.

I agree in principle but hes taking an analyst (Meatball) and possibly the guy that was only on staff cuz he was Aranda's boy (Busch).

I feel like analysts and guys a coach brought to the table are fair game.

edit: I am not saying Busch isn't good at his job, just that e only came to LSU cuz of Aranda.

Meatball was only an analyst cause he broke his knees

He was one of LSU’s better recruiters but the title he held made him one of the lowest paid

He could prob be the lead recruiter, even recruiting coor at Baylor & get a significant pay bump

Who's to say Meatball didn't reach out to Aranda? Or that Aranda may be willing to give Meatball a promotion (relative to his role at LSU). Coaching hires (like most hires) are all about connections. I'm not saying this is the case, but why should Meatball have to stay and accept a "lesser" role (however he defines it) at LSU simply because it is "bad practice" for coach to take other members of his former staff with him?

frick Saban. Kirby was going to work for a DIRECT competitor of Saban. I doubt Saban would have much sympathy if Kirby didn't succeed and got fired. If Nick didn't like that his coaches may be poached, then match UGA's offer to them.

To me it seems like there was an understanding between O and Aranda. There’s too many bodies at LSU and not enough assistant jobs. I don’t have a problem with it.

The biggest question will be whether or not meatball can use his wheelchair as a carry on for his flight to Waco

Did you really pay to be apart of a Baylor message board?

Is Busch DC material for LSU?

Correct but he isn't getting his job back from Bill Johnson. Never was.

I don't think he has ever been a DC so he is no more qualified than Raymond who they aren't hiring for DC so I guess the answer is no as of now.

Meatball was only an analyst this season due to his injury. He's a good DL coach, just not as experienced at Bill Johnson. One can't blame Aranda for wanting to add people he's worked with to his staff, those he trusts and can help with recruiting. Meatball checks those boxes. That being said, LSU can always try and match or beat any offer their assistant coaches and analysts receive from other programs.

That’s just dumb.
