Frick this guy. You don’t like to recruit? Go to USC. They don’t recruit there. We recruit at this school. That’s what I’d tell him.

Shouldn't be an issue since Aranda almost never recruited anyway. Just hire a position coach who can recruit lights out to pick his slack up. Don't need KR recruiting DBs Raymond is god there anyway.

What I mean is Pelini and Coach O are very close and Coach O will hear him out and make the right decision based on what he says if he asks for the job.

Who ever it is has to be able to go out and sell his defense. Not leave it up to Ed or another position coach.

Why settle for a guy who doesn’t want to recruit when Gene Chizik is out there? I trust coach o. He himself probably recruits enough for 2 people. Corey Raymond as well. I’ll let you know if something comes up.

Every video posted of this guy screams "recruiting" to me! His demeaner seems sort of like CEO's to me. I could totally seeing this cat setting his jaw before a game

Chiz would be a good hire, IMO. Only concern there is he has been out of it for awhile but he has always been a good DC. The recruiter is a rare bonus because you usually get either or. Curious as to why we haven't really heard Chiz's name out there. Not sure if he wants to coach again but they should give him a call.
Pellini is a questionable hire from both a scheme standpoint and he's a headcase.

I haven’t seen one person say something nice about Pelini. Someone compliment that man.

Did Pellini change his scheme at Nebraska? I didn't watch them enough to say he did/didn't. I do remember him having a pretty big dude playing in the nickel/dime slots the times I watched them so I'm guessing he did not change his scheme. That shite does not work in modern NCAA. You can't put a 230lb. S on an island in the nickel/dime slot against the fastest Wrs on the team. frick the run. Let your front seven deal with that.

KR or Pelini would be awful. There are so many better candidates out there. Don't take an NFL guy who isn't fond of recruiting, or an outdated DC. I think you're just pushing KR Beeper and you are actually just guessing. Well at least I hope you are guessing.

No, pretty sure KR is real. Don't know about BP but Coach O has a huge network of coaching circles. Pretty sure Pete recommended KR as the guy to him despite giving him the boot at Seahawks. It was reported on the pay sites he targeted KR. BP does make sense too though considering the relationship there.

Yea I know KR is real, but I hope the part about it almost being a done deal barring an agreement concerning recruiting is bull shite. Don't want KR. He won't recruit at a high level, isn't proven at the college level, and will likely bolt for the first NFL job calling his name. We need stability going into 2021 to have another shot and this wouldn't help.

Yeah, but he’s been out of the game for a while and had some issues vs spread teams when he was here. Would much rather have a guy with current experience vs modern offenses.
