Brennan is the only QB to have taken snaps in a game has always had the arm and has improved tremendously this year behind Burrow. Hopefully he learned how to move in the picket. I think the bigger question is who is the backup. Unless Parrish tears it up in practice, Johnson seems the most likely candidate. I don’t see them bringing in a grad transfer

Why can’t they just not be sold on Brennan yet?

It amazes me that when anyone here who doesn’t fall in line with the status quo they’re either a idiot, some troll or whatever.

Parrish isn't an SEC QB... I'm just going to flat out say it... Finley has a lot to learn still as far as coverages and X and O stuff. Johnson was already rattling off coverages and checks in practice the first week he was here. He knows football, and his Dad has him well prepared. That said, he still needs to learn the system and adjust to the speed of the game. If I'm laying money down now its Brennan (or a grad transfer should he shite the bed in Spring) then Johnson then the other two.

The problem with a grad transfer after the spring is they miss the whole offseason and spring practice.

LSU coaches have seen enough of Brennan to know if he is the guy or not. If he’s not, they should’ve had a grad transfer enrolled for this semester.

The fact that they didn’t, and there was no word they were even looking, tells me they are comfortable with Brennan.

The short answer is no. We can prepare for a little more running and an offense that scores about 10 less PPG. Having said that, none of those things in themselves will be so bad that we can't repeat as SEC champs. Still a whole lotta talent on that team.

Brennan will have the opportunity ( which he should) I think out of the other three from what I’ve seen on film Johnson would be next

I think these doubts about Brennan are going to fuel some amazing performances. Being compared to Burrow, losing Brady, attrition of so many Jrs...His motivation and drive are going to be off the charts!

If we can just have a repeat of 2018 Burrow, which was not that special, we’ll be pretty damn good

Brennan will have very opportunity in the spring to give the coaches all they need not to go out an sign a grad transfer.
Brennan is physically ready to start most are not sure if he has mental side down.
Next year it will really sunk in just how great Burrow was.

If he can learn when to run 4-5 times per game like Burrow and have soft touch on certain passes he'll be an 2rd 3rd team all SEC. Potential to be All American 2021.

SEC Network picked Mond as Pre-season 1st team All Sec. I'm confident Brennan will have a better season than Mond.

Johnson will move up the ladder to #2 when he gets here. Parrish just not a good enough thrower of the ball to run this, offense. I see him in the portal at the end of fall practice.

The coaching staff can no longer afford the luxury to wait until the spring before they anoint a starter. Cause it takes a full offseason now for the QBs to gel and to build chemistry with the receivers in this new offense. If the coaching staff waits until the spring or the fall to anoint a new starter, then the offense will inevitably suffer because of it.

Hence, if Myles isn't the guy, then it's already too damn late. As only one QB at a time can gel with the receivers. As we can't expect the receivers to gel with more than one QB at a time cause that is literally impossible.

Parish struggles to throw it 30 yards in warmups, and Johnson + Finley are true freshmen.

Dude, according to what Jimmy Details wrote, Parrish's arm is better than anticipated and also he is a very fast learner.

Moreover, arm strength is not even the criterion by which QBs are judged. Accuracy is. I mean even most girls can throw a football thirty yards. Stop exaggerating cause for some reason, you just don't like Parrish.

Brennan has a better "arm talent" than Burrow

Really? So we can expect Myles Brennan's completion percentage rate to be higher than Joe Burrow's completion percentage rate in 2020?

Wow. Will he also pass for more than 5671 yards and throw more than 60 touchdown passes next season as well too?

Look, I hope Myles does a really good job for LSU as well too, but let's not try to over-exaggerate his talents. He is not going to be another Joe Burrow, but hopefully, he can still be an upper-echelon SEC QB.

Not really, but nonetheless, the other two QBs transferred out. Myles sort of won the backup job by osmosis, i.e., default. Nonetheless, whatever the case may be, let's all hope and pray that he will be able to do a really good job.

Yes but I hope he can sling it accurately and throw a catchable ball.
