Carolina actually has tremendous WR talent plus McCaffrey. If he gets a healthy Cam Newton back and a solid O line, it could be scary what Brady could do with that offense.

downvote me if you want, but hiring a 30 year old guy who was fetching coffee for Sean Payton a year ago and had some unknown level of influence on playcalling at LSU to be the OC for your young HC who has experience as a pro o-line coach doesn't seem smart.

My thoughts as well. Could very well blow up. What if Carolina really struggles next year? And the year after? Does Brady go from wonderkid to untouchable?

want to like the kid. I want to appreciate that he was here.

But honestly, I still feel like saying "frick him, without a more experienced voice metering his aggression he's gonna flop."

He’s smart for leaving now. His stock will never be higher to make the jump. No matter how good LSU’s offense will be next year it won’t be as good as this year.

I think Carolina is dumb for not seeing how he does without Burrow to see exactly which one meant more to the LSU success this season.

I think Brady will do fine, but it’s certainly a risk to hire someone who hasn’t called plays full time before even at the college level. Will be interesting to see how he translates back to the pro game.

He has a much greater chance of struggling than succeeding.NFL DC’s also work at football full time. He had an athletic and cerebral advantage every game at LSU. He’ ll never enjoy that again. We shall see

Hate that he now plays against the saints twice a year, but I will always appreciate him and love what he brought to LSU.

I can say pretty confidently that this team will never be topped. And if they eventually are, then holy shite, what a team that would be.

Brady was here maybe another year and that's it. His stock is as high as it'll be at this point in his career. He wanted to be back in the NFL and this was his best shot to make the jump back. I wish him all the luck in the world 14 games of the year.

Hes never been an OC. Theres a hell of a lot of more responsibility than what he did here.

Carolina is definitely going to need to improve its wide receiver talent to come close to approaching what LSU did this year.

Jeudy and Lamb should be the highest available WR on the board when they pick. They really need defense though.

As a LSU fan and a Panthers fan (I live close to CLT) this stings but I'm happy at the same time. The Panthers need some fresh blood and new ideas as a franchise.

I know it's probably not going to happen but I'm hoping beyond hope that Burrow pulls an Eli and finds a way to be on the Panthers.

If Olsen retires, Brady and the Panthers are screwed. McCaffery would then be literally the only weapon they have. One readon LSU was SO successful is the talent level. At least 4 receivers who will on Sundays, plus a TE and RB who will also play on Sundays.

The Panthers don't have a single receiver any other team wants. Olsen is still good, but spends more time injured than playing.

Brady is gonna have a tough time with that bag of shite roster.

Exactly. Carolina is going all in on this dude being the next Sean McVay basically. It seems like a huge gamble but Matt Rhule can probably afford to take it and if it doesn’t work out he will get a chance to hire another OC. Carolina has proven they are patient with head coaches. The last two guys were given 8 years. Granted both went to a super bowl.

Every player on an NFL team was elite in college.
you do realize that, if everyone has the same level of elite talent in the NFL, then it's not elite?

He would be welcomed back with open arms at LSU or any other major CFB program. This is a no lose situation for Brady. That's actually the reason I'm pulling for him to succeed at Carolina- do NOT want another Saban situation

Brady came from the NFL that seems to be his passion in football.

Helped us to an unforgettable season, his contract leverage will rarely be higher than right now.

Wish him the best except for 2 or more games this year.

Umm, this is a new owner. The same guy that once bought a restaurant just so he could fire a waiter he didn't like.
