Two Alabama women are under arrest after authorities say they were stopped in Georgia with multiple bottles filled with the “date rape drug.”
The Troup County Sheriff’s Office on Monday identified the suspects Ashley Prince, 47, and Jessica Partridge, 26. Both women are from Opelika.
Sheriff’s Lt. Nathan Taylor on Friday stopped a vehicle for a window tint violation on Interstate 85 southbound at mile marker 8. The lieutenant noticed behavior consistent with criminal activity, authorities said, and the agency’s drug-sniffing dog, Chapo, was deployed for a “free-air sniff” around the vehicle.
K9 Chapo indicated the presence of narcotic odor, and a subsequent search of the vehicle turned up about 2 gallons of GHB – gamma-hydroxybutyrate. Prince, who was the driver, and Partridge, a passenger, were arrested and charged with possession of GHB with intent to distribute.
Following their arrest, narcotics agents from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office were contacted and they, along with Harris County Sheriff’s Office and Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office, conducted a search at Prince’s residence in Lee County.
Authorities found methamphetamine, LSD, marijuana, and additional GHB. Prince will also be facing charges in Lee County for the narcotics discovered during the search warrant.

Barbiturates are making quite a come back due to the awareness of Fentanly being mixed with opioids. We’re also starting to see a spike in cocaine.
Drug dealers a very dynamic entrepreneurs when it comes to supply and demand.

Gallons.
Think of how many Georgia boys were saved by this traffic stop.
They could've had Matty Ice chained in their basement all the way till pre-season without anyone noticing.

How does the use of a drug dog's "free air sniff" to determine justification for a search jibe with the 4th Amendment?

They look exactly like the story suggests that they would.

There it is again. Marijuana is always involved in these busts. Everyone says it's harmless but at some point it has to take some responsibility. It's like saying some poor innocent kid just hangs around the wrong crowd when he's been arrested 10 times.
