Still kinda breezy
Platform 25’ up between 2 crp patches
I dressed for 25 degrees. After that wind yesterday and forgetting to bring a jacket I wasn’t taking any chances.

On Carters creek
Finally rutting
Several does acting crazy and a young buck busting up their group then passed again later on the toes of one of the ladies

Last hunt of the year for me, itching to pull the trigger. Haven't seen many deer on the few hunts I've made and hoping to change my luck.

WFT, are you still seeing any chasing around Laurel hill? Things seem to have slowed down around Sligo rd.

I think we are in the breeding stage. Bucks locking down does for 3-4 days. Bright arse moon ain’t helping either.
Saw a buck yesterday morning run across an opening nose to the ground. Small 4pt not far behind him. Can only assume a doe crossed there and I wasn’t paying attention. I think the bulk of it is over. Optimistic side of me is hoping the big ones start cruising more.
Last Sunday was huge. Everyone I talked to from the area saw chasing. If what I’ve heard is correct, first week of Feb should be good. Feb bow season last year I had one get by me chasing. Had never seen him before and haven’t seen him since.
