What money could saban get in the NFL?

Rhule just got 7/$60mil and you'd think nicky would be well north of that... maybe. We know nicky will retire at some point from bama but just wondering what money has been, is, or will be thrown his way to try and sway him to the NFL.

Saban is not made for the NFL. His micro managing and assholeness wont work in the league. It works on college kids. NFL players would mutiny.

He would get squashed like a bug again, he was one of the Best in AAA ball.....The Majors, they don’t give a frick about the process, REC, and 4 year payment plan...

He is close to 70, no? I am not sure he would be as pursued as Rhule was.

Thule just got stupid money.
I want To say he’s going to be making more than John Harbaugh and Andy Reid.
This is the type of contract that sends ripples through the market.

His first year was pretty good in Miami, but he lost the team at some point and couldn't get it back.

Alabama would outbid any NFL team.

He could get 10-12 million annually on a 5 year deal.
Alabama would match.
I've said for years there's no way he'd take an NFL job outside of Atlanta and it seems that'll never happen because Blank is too loyal to Quinn and Demitroff

Atlanta has nothing to do with it.

Nobody is paying that man to be a HC in the NFL now. You’re kinda slow huh?

not much from any rational owner
saban has success because he has refs rigging games for him, schedule rigging for zero real competition, and a playoff system that cheats to get them in no matter if they earned it or not.
add to that they juice players like crazy while the sec refuses to admit or do anything about it, they commit recruiting violations with impunity, and pay players to play there.
none of that shite flies in the NFL and thats why he has his arse handed to him and got embarrassed in NFL and wont repeat that mistake again

Unless his ego is even bigger than we thought, he isn't going to try that again (NFL). He made a fortune at Bama, can coach a couple of more years before riding off into the sunset as greatest coach in college football...

Why would any NFL team hire him? He isn't made to coach NFL, he would have very little control over his players.
Good NFL coaches work with their players and operate as a part of the team. That is not his style.
Secondly, he failed last time I checked. Without going back into the pro's and reproving himself as an asset, nobody will be giving him his asking price.
He is a God at Bama; he more likely than not would fail again in the pro's. That is not the legacy he would want to leave behind.
He scratched that itch and it festered. Better to leave alone.

Belichick went 36-44 in Cleveland. Jimmy Johnson tanked in Miami. Pete Carroll did not set the world on fire with the Jets. I could go on. Failure at one team does not equal a complete inability to succeed.
I don’t think the OP was asking if Saban should or will go. I think thr question was posed in response to Rhule’s 7 year $60,000,000 contract. If Rhule is getting that money what would Saban, by any measure a much more accomplished coach, get?
I think about $11 million per. But whatever it would be would reset the market.

It is not the money in the NFL for Saban. It is the control aspect. Saban has free reign over football ops in Tuscaloosa. Few NFL coaches have that luxury mainly due to salary cap issues.

I wonder if Saban would coach for belicheck again
Posted on 1/10/20 at 1:34 pm to King
Eh, I think Saban would fare a lot better this time around. You have to put things into perspective. When he went to Miami he wasn’t the legend he is today. The guys in the NFL today were all in college during Saban’s dynasty. The NFL is littered with former Saban players that are in leadership roles on their teams, and the man himself has lightened up a little with age. Pete Carrol was a shitty NFL coach on his first try too
