30 years ago, they were the best thing since sliced bread. I remember sitting in Saudi Arabia, looking out my window, seeing a battery of these things a few hundred yards away.
I know they were kind of a semi-failure in 1991, but have they been upgraded and still used?

I don’t know why the downvotes, they were not as effective as thought during the Gulf War. I think they hit about 30% of the incoming Scuds. I think the one that hit near me in Kubar Towers, wasn’t even fired upon by a Patriot. It killed 30+ Pennsylvania National Guardsmen.

I didn't downvote you, but you posted this on the O-T not the Political Board. This is probably the reasoning versus your content. Why you'd venture here, in general, I have no idea.

Yup, we’ve also got whistlin' bungholes, spleen splitters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker don'ts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, and a whistlin' kitty chaser.

It's probably about the same but there are a lot of us vets that post on the Poliboard these days.

Phased-Array Tracking Radar/Intercept Over Target=PATRIOT. Israel uses similar tech called “IRON DOME” Works fine for them!

What is political about asking if a certain military defense is still used.

Did it hurt some Millennial pussies?

What was political about his question? It seems more OT than political.

Latest ones are Patriot PAC-3 variants.

We also have THAAD (Theater High Altitude Air Defense) Missiles made by Lockheed, but I don't know if they are fielded yet.
