Best part of all of it, we get the chance to shut them all up or make them louder. This isnt a LSU/USC 2003 pissfest we get to settle it. And we will!

our entire D-line rotation combined doesn’t have as many sacks combined this year as Ohio State’s 2nd best D-Lineman
Does Ohio St play 4-3 or 3-4 base? A 4-3 DE will have better stats than a 3-4 DE. You can't really compare those 2 dline types because they serve different purposes and are different kinds of athletes.

It really is absolutely amazing how hard headed and stubborn these people have been on their opinion of LSU all year. Some still just refuse to believe LSU might be the best.

Shelvin is playing as good as anyone In the country (DL) during the last 4 games

Thamel? He might have some parts right but what he overlooks is that LSU is the complete package. The offense is unstoppable and the defense rises to the occasion. Plus we have Burrow I like our chances

Pete Thamel is an Okie with an obvious rancor toward LSU. Several years ago he wrote a story about the rampant cheating by Les Miles at Oklahoma State. It was totally unfounded and died quickly.

Why get upset, we know what LSU has, let them be surprised.

Also, you give our D the excuse of always being ahead by a ton and teams playing catch-up. The exact same thing can be said about the two defenses you specifically mentioned.

While I agree with you, have you considered the fact that it’s easier to rack up stats against weaker teams all year than in the SEC? Honest question, would Ohio St. and Clemson have the same # of Sacks and TFL if they had played LSUs schedule? What about if they had as many starters miss games as we did? The truth is, we have no idea who's better because the level of competition isn't the same, so for some asshat like Thamel to say LSU D isn't comparable to Ohio St is laughable and based on nothing but conjecture.

Exactly, so to say one is better than the other one is nonsense. We will not know until the 13th, then we'll see. I have a feeling LSU D is going to really surprise some people

How are these "professionals" so inept at seeing things objectively?

says the fan of one team

quote:

Why do they look past the arguments that our D hasn't played motivated because we're always up by a ton? Or the fact that we give up a lot of passing yards because teams are always trying to catch up? Or that we've played way more tough teams than OU and Clemson combined? Or that Clemson is mostly untested and they squeaked by the only real team they've played? I think our D is better than everyone thinks, they have played lights out when they needed to.

Is this “objective”

I 100% our d has played better of late, whether it was getting healthy (Delpit) or motivated after the embarrassment at Ole Miss.

I don’t disagree about the DL. It’s solid, no one that blows you any, except maybe Chassion. The others are solid good players nothing special like DLs we’ve had in the past

Seen both, extensively. LSU is better than Ohio St at LB and Secondary.

They weren't as good up front on defense, but that is fine. We had injuries to deal with through our the season as we played some challenging contests early that had huge implications early. The last 4 games we have been DOMINANT.

Ask Clemson how Texas A&M stayed so close to them at home while LSU beat the ever loving dog shite out of them.

We are healthy, Divinity is back, Clemson will be destroyed on the 13th. This is about selling a game by "journalis" for clicks on their articles leading up to and after the game.

Georgia was destroyed, A&M, Oklahoma. 3 legitimate teams dominated.

Ohio St was scary slow at both the 2nd and 3rd levels on defense. We aren't slow anywhere and Delpit being 100% along with Vincent has changed everything.

frick the deceit but it isn't genuine brother.

except we arent like a traditional 3-4 where that 4th rusher can come from anywhere. it's always comes from KC.

LSU D-line may not be as good as Ohio State's but it is still really good, especially against the run. Ohio State's offense is really good, but not as good as LSU's. Plus, in a read option offense, Fields had a bum wheel in that game and they still move the ball very well until Dobbins hurt his ankle. Dobbins also dropped two touchdown passes that led to field goals and this vaunted red zone talk.
