The problem is that this is the “smart and powerful woman” they speak of

Not me. I dated girl that made over $200,000/yr when I was in medical school. I was more than happy to empower her to spoil the crap out of me.

Yes.

Several.

My wife is WAY smarter than me and is the breadwinner. Zero fricks given by me...

My SO will likely be making more than me in 4-5 years. Wont bother me at all. Who cares whose money bought the Jet Ski?

I'd get it if I was making 33k and she made 230k or something though. That would probably be a little hard to do simply because I'd feel I wasnt supporting my family and was reliant on her.

one of my best friends from growing up owns a business that grosses about $50mil/year, her husband hasn't worked in about 25 years, he seems to be coping fairly well, I'd like to give it a try

Women want a husband with equal or higher status. That may or may not mean he makes more money.

A rich man would gladly marry a secretary if she’s hot. Not so much with women. You’ll rarely find a female dr married to a blue collar guy.

I don't care nearly enough to do that. Some men are insecure pansies.

It's littered all over this board. I mean, it's palpable who falls into this category. They don't have to come out and say it.

It's not fear

It's that anyone paying attention has noticed that such women are basically NEVER committed.

They are always in play and men have figured that out.

Which is fine if you just want to get laid or have a fling.

That’s an absurd position

The problem with the OP's original post is the extreme positions it takes. No men are afraid or intimidated by smart and powerful women? It's all feminist lies? Logically, these are both untrue statements. You take a similar logically extreme position by saying such women are never committed. This thread has seen multiple men tell us their wives make more than they do. My own wife probably makes 3-4 times my salary.

You'll also rarely find a male doctor married to a blue collar gal. I don't consider secretaries or nurses to be blue collar.

To be fair. I don't mean all.

But the reality is. American women are actually more likely to cheat now than men are. By a fairly we margin too.

Men have figured this reality out and therefore have returned the favor by treating women as disposable.

It's a negative cycle.

not blue collar as in, say, a welder, but blue collar as far as education/vocational training

True

It's more accurate to say they are simply, as a group, MUCH more unreliable.

Obviously, this doesn't mean none are reliable
