"On Saturday, LSU got up 21-7 in the first quarter. In year's past, that meant that the staff could let off the gas a bit and coast to victory. Not this team. These Tigers continued to attack and put their opponent out of its misery before halftime. That's the new identity of LSU football. It's the identity that Orgeron set out to build. He combined the best athletes with the best coaches and created a super power."

I don't think we try to run up the score. I think we have a mix of players and scheme that can't help scoring.

Joe's decision making and poise just puts it over the top. We can only beat ourselves.

Someone on the OU message boards regarding the game said the following:

"I wish we would've just lost to Baylor."

You want to talk about going for the throat...on the opening drive of the 2nd half, LSU gets down to 4th and 1 or 2 from about the 30ish if I remember correctly. Long field goal or short punt normally, especially when up 49-14. Nah. Go for it. Stick a Biletnikoff winning wide receiver in the backfield as a running back and let him run it for the first. Get a touchdown a couple plays later.

I liked hearing Kirk H. Say that this offense is the best he has ever seen in his entire career at ESPN.

Another reason why Les Miles sucks, but that's a discussion for another thread (and day).

I saw a mid-game tweet saying they should let the winner of the peach bowl dr. pepper halftime contest coach LSU in the second half.
