Mine was West Monroe and the in school suspension supervisor got fired and was arrested for having sex with one of the students.

A kid shot a teacher in the leg.
We almost beat St Aug in the playoffs but our QB threw the ball in the air to celebrate when time expired. Someone on the Purple Knights caught it and ran it back the entire field for a touchdown and won the game. Made ESPN bad plays of the week, with Chris Berman commentary.

I only went to LA HS for the fall semester of 1986. I got my second ever piece of arse. By then, I sorta knew what I was doing. 
Most memorable world event: The Challenger explosion and Chernobyl disaster had happened earlier in the year, so for latter-1986, I'll go with either Iran Contra or the debut of the movie Top Gun.
Also, Richard Gere shoved a gerbil up his arse to receive sexual pleasure, which totally happened.
