My man. It sounds old man like but that shite was so much better.

No Kendrick Lamar? That’s a good take. He sucks.

Kevin Gates (on my Mt Rushmore he's the best, but I know he isn't one of the best rappers of the 2010's)

A$AP Rocky
ScHoolboy Q
Drake
J. Cole
I associate Kanye more with the 2000s, even though TLOP is probably the best album of the 2010s, and Kendrick is the most overrated rapper in history

Kendrick
J. Cole (this is also based on recruiting Dreamville, which is a tremendously strong stable at this point)
Drake (I'm not a fan, but I can't deny his influence)
Future (Again, not a fan, but the influence is so huge on mumble rap)

Kendrick is def the best rapper of the 2010s. Section 80, GKMC and TPAB are all top tier rap albums. DAMN. is solid too, just not as good for me compared to everything else.
Kanye is a close second for me. MDBTF, Yeezus, TLOP, Ye and Kids See Ghosts are fantastic all in different ways. Only bad (and it really sucked) album this decade is Jesus is King.
3 and 4 is where is gets hard for me.
Travis Scott is third for me, Rodeo and Astroworld are great/good albums, birds in the trap sing mcknight is pretty average, but has some huge tracks so I think third is good for him.
I'm gonna go Run the Jewels for the 4th place because everything they released was awesome. Just a unique style of hip hop.
Honorable mentions:
Drake
Migos
Future (Dirty Sprite 2 is an essential trap album)
Young Thug
Freddie Gibbs
Chance the Rapper (although The Big Day is the worst album of the 2010s IMO)

You’re right... Got years mixed up... thought Carter 3 ( his peak ) was later but it was 08.

Good call on J. Cole and better call on Dreamville.
He's very important, and he also popularized one of my Rushmore's: JID.

Very solid post. Can't believe people are arguing against Kendrick. Makes me sad. I can understand people feeling like he's changed with the Untitled, Damn, and such. But he's just so good. His problem, much like Vince Staples or Kanye, is that he's an artist and not satisfied being static.
And yes son. RTJ all day.
