Can people please stop making threads bashing this man. We literally lost 3 nba players from last years team including the best pg in the sec and our two post players who made a difference. We have neither of those two positions on this years team and we are still very young and raw. Had our name not been dragged through the mud last year for doing something that literally every other blue blood does we would have had a better recruiting class. Give this man sometime to build this program. He was literally given steaming pile of shite in attempt to turn it into honey. It takes time to do this and last year we played about as perfect as we could have but that with a lot of experience and talent which this years team does not have. We are literally only in year 3 and I have the utmost faith that GWW will have the program humming if he keeps recruiting like he has been.

Alleva and F’king really fricked Wade’s ability to recruit last year. Our depth issues and lack of size are showing on the floor.

With those two imbeciles gone, I fully trust Wade will get things back right in short order.

The team is close now. We’re one or two players away from being SEC contenders.

Wade has what it takes to make a program successful and we will bounce back. He’s got my support.

Will Wade is the best MBBHC we could have at LSU now. He is successful and will continue to be successful. It amazes me that we have fans who have "given up" in December of his third season.

I meant either drafted or invited to a camp and no longer on this team but I get your point.

It doesn't amaze me at all. In fact, I'd be amazed if those idiots weren't out and about.

Look up his statement after the ETSU game.

here is part of it:
“Some of it is we’ve got some of these new guys here that think it’s a God-given right that things are going to go well and some of these old guys are living off last year a little bit,” he said. “But this is a new team and everybody’s got new roles.

It explains what his frustration is.

The players need to come together as well.

No reasonable person is calling for his firing or expecting LSU to finish 16-2 in SEC play this year. But why is reasonable criticism of Wade completely off limits on a site that LITERALLY exist as a forum for conversation of LSU sports? Hell, half the board (if not more) was shitting on Orgeron daily before he even coached his very first game as LSU's HC. So why is Wade completely above reproach when no other LSU coach/player apparently is?

He's done a really good job thus far. The recruiting and SEC crown in year 2 was beyond anyone's wildest expectations. But he hasn't been perfect. His teams have blown some big leads against good teams (both this year and last). His defensive approach has been MUCH better than Jones's, but still not great by any means (LSU is generally in the bottom half of the SEC, if not lower in defensive efficiency -- currently 9th). That leads to an inability to close out games (it's not merely a coincidence LSU played in so many close games last year, as well as thus far this season). Turnovers have been an issue (currently 241 in TO's per possession; 135 last year) And late game scenarios are generally inconsistent as to whether or not LSU will get off a good shot.

Unfortunately, many people on here can't understand life is live mostly in the gray areas. Just because someone voices criticism of Wade doesn't mean they want him fired or think he's terrible. It doesn't have to be all or nothing approach

Kavell was on Pels’ G-league team, may still be. Either way, he’s earning a living playing professional basketball and will likely be a rotational big on an NBA roster in the next year or two.

Everyone says it is the one and done that has ruined college basketball. I submit it is the two and done guys who probably shouldn't commit pro but do so anyway. How can you say we are two players away when you never know who is coming back the next year?

I can see where a less than successful season, maybe a little bad blood between teammates and we could have Emmitt, Darius and Javonte all going pro whether they end up in the NBA or not. And of course we lose Skyler and Marlon due to graduation. That could be what ends up being our starting lineup by the end of the season.

Talk about putting Coach Wade in a pressure bucket to recruit. Wow!

All valid points. My thing is once someone starts a thread you can just add to that one or bump instead of everyone that is displeased with Wade starting their own thread. Clearly he isn’t perfect but no one is in CBB it is one of those sports where during the regular season the blue bloods can be beat by unranked teams and etc. I know this is a forum site but it just gets old with a million threads on the same topic when you can just comment on the first one.

Emmitt and Smart are the two geniuses who will unwittingly end their basketball careers with this move. Darius has a much better head on his shoulders

Smart looks like the guy dominating at the LA fitness gym LOL. Playing against old men. Brags on not having to leave the floor at they Fitness gym.

No control, never passes on any shot.

Dude should be riding the pine. Our new true freshman are playing very well.
