Truck Smash and Grab

Went to Sullivan’s steak house for a work meeting. Parked at 6. Walked out at 8:45 to find my drivers side window smashed. Pistol and laptop gone. I think this might be my final straw with BR.

Happening all over the country big time. Expect more of this. I know out west it’s only I citation misdemeanor. Has happened twice to me in 6 months in middle of the day with people in the parking lot and only left the vehicle for 10 min.

I mean there’s a 99.9% chance you left at least one of the two within view...not many are going to risk smashing a window in a parking lot in the evening on the off chance they might find something.
I wouldn’t leave either of those things within sight in my car in just about any place in this country.

Absolutely not. Pistol was inside the console. Laptop was in a backpack under the backseat. The only 2 things worth any value visible was a 6 year old radar detector and a old pair of costas on the mirror. Both untouched.

I'm surprised video wasn't covering your truck from some angle. You might wanna check around.
My wife had her Lexus window smashed and they took some prescription drugs she had just filled as well as a pair of her sunglasses and her iPad and they went through the console and glove box.
Happened at night at this Italian restaurant where she and her sister were .... but the CVS pharmacy video cam across the street actually caught it happening on their video and the Leo's were able to pull the tag number off of the car as it drove up and the passenger got out and smashed the window. (Set the alarm off but no one flinched inside near the front room).
Anyways, they arrested two black kids who had watched her leave the CVS and then drive across the street to meet Karen. They worked really fast and were gone.
Judge gave them a year this past March of which they served less than 90 days and then they got out for good behavior and time served while waiting for their trial. They get 20 days off for each month they serve with good behavior.

The cop said they hit a car further south on college and one on Perkins around the same time
