I have a very hard time believing those numbers are correct. If they are, Del Conte has lost his mind. They’re paying Herman way too much to then need to go out and get an OC at that price.

Those are the public numbers being quoted by the Texas media. Who knows if they are real or not. It seems like the act of a desperate fanbase, so it's probably true

I’m still trying to figure out how Herman co-exists with a young Air Raid OC. Does he completely handcuff him or step back and essentially become a figurehead? Something tells me that with his arrogance, the former is much more likely.

They're about to offer Brady north of $2 million, or he's going to disappoint a lot of Longhorn fans.
Hiring Brady at any price is a bad fit for Texas. He'll have to adjust to Herman's scheme and be left running a hybrid offense and calling plays with no help in the box.

They need a new DC and to add players on both sides of the ball to improve.

The last 3 years Herman has gained a lot of OJT. Maybe he’s learned you can’t be an effective HC and OC at a P5 school. Too many moving parts to manage. As for getting Brady, I know Texas has deep pockets but the cost might be to high even for them. I suspect that Brady’s new contract with LSU is structured similar to Aranda’s in that there in a mileage restriction from Baton Rouge. Like 500 miles. Any school within that range will pay a premium buyout to LSU. So the cost to obtain Brady’s services will be a lot more than 2 mil/year. Plus I don’t see Brady wanting to make a lateral move when he loves the staff is working with.

I’m hearing it from Texas boosters this morning. Yesterday, it was from other places

2M a year for Harrell is pretty crazy

But there's no guarantee Harrell gets UNLV. That job is getting more attention than I thought it would.

You've literally been wrong in every one of your asinine posts.
Take a break, Jackoff.

Word is LSU is going to give him $1.8 mill. It would take over $2 mill to get him.

And Harrell is applying for UNLV.

Everything else I've said was an opinion except Kiffin to Arkansas.i believe that's gonna happen.

That was when he thought clay was gone. Word from USC is UT offered 3 years 6.5 million, but they believe he stays because clay now is prolly going to get the full contract thru 2023 and GH believes he can get a HC job that is better than UNLV by that time.

With Slovas coming back along with that great 2018 class, he is expected to stay at USC. He has been out recruiting very hard(he fricking. Etter with that shitastic class)

UNLV is gonna have to reach big time.

People have. Freeze, Briles, Spurrier, lots of examples.

If I'm Texas, I'm frustrated that they have to go spend a ton on an OC. They should be able to spend that on the defensive staff and watch Herman do his thing on offense.

Almost the exact same thing happened when Strong was the head coach. After year 2(?), he went to money whip the Tulsa OC (Shane Montgomery) and was turned down. He had to go back with the AD and University President in tow to make it happen. He still lost to Kansas the following season.

I know there's a lot of people that will flame me on this. This guy was a Genious, he was just lazy lol.

They had him mic'd up one spring at SC. Play calling comes easy to him.

Sterlin Gilbert, not Shane Montgomery.

For a UT football historian, you’re mighty sloppy.

By the way, I think you’re talking about Philip Montgomery.
