Subconsciously that may be part of it, but LSU also crushed Ohio State the last time they played so I'm not sure that is it. It's just I think Clemson is a little bit better than LSU. Hell Clemson is probably a little bit better than Ohio State too. That's why we all want the #1 seed so bad.

Last year I would have agreed with you, this year not so much. That D-line talent AND depth is what made them so dangerous last season.

To be fair, Texas isn't a Top 10 win. I don't think that should be considered garbage. That is the truth whether you want to believe it or not. Texas is 7-5. I would never consider Nebraska or Michigan State to be ranked wins even though they were ranked when Ohio State blew them out. I would look like an idiot. Just like anyone claiming Texas as a Top 10 win. That doesn't mean LSU isn't the best team in the country, it just means Texas isn't a very good win for them.

Is your entire argument based on the ASSUMPTION that SVP considers Texas a top 10 win? Who says he does? I doubt that very much in fact.

After seeing what Clemson did to Alabama last year, and winning two of the last three national championships, Clemson is the premier program in the sport right now. As much as I hate to admit that, we know Clemson is going to bring their best. That doesn't mean that Ohio State and/or LSU at their best isn't better than Clemson, but it's close.

I'm an OSU fan and agree that LSU should be #1 based on their resume. The wins LSU had against what those teams were ranked at the time is amazing.
That being said, I think it is closer than many on this board are saying. Either way, both teams have had a great season and I hope to see them play in the playoffs.
