Here's the list:
Gary Barta: Iowa athletic director Big Ten
Frank Beamer: Former Virginia Tech head coach
Paola Boivin: Former The Arizona Republic reporter; Professor at Arizona State
Joe Castiglione: Oklahoma athletic director
Ken Hatfield: Former Rice, Air Force, Arkansas and
Clemson head coach
Christopher B. Howard: Robert Morris University President; former Air Force running back
Ronnie Lott: Former Southern California defensive back
Terry Mohajir: Arkansas State athletic director
Rob Mullens (chairman): Oregon athletic director
Ray Odierno: Former Army Chief of Staff; Former football player at Army
R. C. Slocum: Former Texas A&M coach and interim athletic director
Todd Stansbury: Georgia Tech athletic director
Scott Stricklin: Florida athletic director
Looking at the list, other than Barta and Howard (RMU is in Illinois), I can't figure out the love for OSU and their desire to protect OSU. On the other hand, maybe Stricklin and Slocum have an axe to grind against LSU.

Money. All about the money.

Slocum would rather cut his dick without anesthesia than see LSU win a NC.

What a weird and random collection of people.
How is this better than the BCS formula again?

Paola? You can’t make this shite up.
You can bet Slow Cum is screwing LSU every chance he gets.

Yea, seems there would be a lot of conflict of interests in that group. I’m sure the Florida AD and Slocum would love LSU winning a Natty. The computers were a better idea.

All about TV. What matchups will draw the most viewership.
I’m not a tinfoil hat guy, but after the way the NFL screwed the Saints last season, I started to believe.

So two athletic directors who would benefit from LSU not rising back to national prominence (UF and Oklahoma), two coaches who’ve seen their fair share of arse whippings from LSU and probably hate us (Slocum and Beamer), and a hodgepodge of random people who don’t seem particularly qualified to do the job.

Yeah...no conflict of interest here. Is Jackie sherrel still alive ?

Slocum is a native of Louisiana, I think.

It’s not about love for OSU or hate for LSU. It’s about regional representation in the CFP. And MONEY
Last years game was the lowest ratings have been for CFP. It was 2 southeast teams.
They want LSU to play Clemson so it won’t be 2 southeastern teams in the final.

Why would Ohio being 1 have a benefit of money
What’s said benefit?

Ratings? The population of Ohio is about 12 million and the population of Louisiana is about 5 million. I dunno.

So why wouldn’t they want Ohio as 2 seed
They scared Clemson beats them?

Maybe that's why CEO hired John Robinson. It was awesome seeing Marcus Allen on the sideline last Saturday.

Never saw or heard a direct quote from any of the CFP Committee when OSU jumped over LSU to #1 but have heard a number of pundits say it was because our defense was so bad...If that were true, the Aggie game should have certainly dispelled that crap....In their previous 11 games A&M had scored 50 touchdowns, an average of 4.6 TDs a game...Against the Tiger defense they scored ONE, rushed for 72 yards, passed for 97 yards,,,Tiger defense sacked them 6 times and had 3 interceptions...not too bad for a bad defense...Put Ohio State in the SEC West; they lose 4 times at least. In summary, the CFP Committee is as crooked as the a-hole sob's who officiated the game at College Station last year !

The BCS formula was set in stone. This way, the committee can alter the formula, which they do weekly, to get the desired results.
Better is relative here
