I bought reserves for the cfp for LSU so if LSU goes to the peach I can drive there and find a hotel. Question is for those that went to the fiesta last year. What hotel did you stay at and am thinking of doing Uber or lyft to the game and back instead of renting a car.

Thanks in advance

I was staying with friends in town, but most people I knew who went to the game stayed in Scotsdale, a lot at the Talking Stick Casino Resort. I went to the New Years Eve Party there last year, and to say it was lit would be a massive understatement.

The football stadium is kinda far from the most fun parts of town, and traffic wasn’t that big of a deal. I would stay around downtown or scotsdale.

Thanks. Literally flying in December 28 and flying out 29 so plan is to find a decent hotel and use lyft or Uber to get to and from the game.

We stayed in the Tempe area, there it was 20 minutes or so to the stadium from there. Nice area, many good hotels, eateries, shopping and a nice area. From what we could tell the closer you get to the stadium the crappier the area got. Parking is a disaster as well!

We had a great time and hope LSU gets the Fiesta Bowl draw again so we can make the drive to Phoenix.

I’m still waiting on knowing for certain if we’re in that game before booking anything. I had an absolute blast on that trip last year. If the semi-final game is in Atlanta, I won’t even bother with it. I hate that garbage city.

We stayed at the Hampton by the stadium. Its great....takes 5 minutes to walk to and from the game. Lots and lots of restaurants right by the hotel.

If you’re just taking a short trip and not there to explore the city or enjoy the sights, that might be the best option. Adjacent to the stadium is a large Perkins Rowe-style development with shopping, bars, hotels, and restaurants.

I live in Phoenix. The stadium is kind of isolated from things but there is a Hampton Inn (pretty nice) right by the stadium and Westgate (huge shopping Mall and Bars) right by the stadium as well. If you stay at places like Talking Stick or Scottsdale be prepared to pay a good bit for Uber or Lyft. In that case I would definitely rent a car. If you have any questions feel free to ask and I will do what I can to answer. Geaux Tigers

You sure tOSU won’t be playing in the Fiesta? I thought LSU vs #4 OR vs Clemson was going to be in Atlanta?

I've got family 20 minutes away from the stadium so I'm secretly hoping for the Fiesta Bowl.

Plus tickets will be much cheaper.

I’m going for the game, not the tourist attractions. Atlanta is much easier and cheaper destination for our fans.
