Just rewatched 3 games this kid played in. He's the best linebacker available for the 2020 draft. The only LB close to his game is Devin White

Please! I don't want to be negative, but that is a huge slap in the face to White and Beckwith before him. More missed tackles from the LB position this year than in a long time

#6(Phillips) played well last game but it was Ark. Now rewatch games against Miss, Al and Fl. and that will tell you he probably needs to come back before thinking about the NFL. You can downvote all you want but this group of lb's have been the worst group on defense not the DL and Db's.

You rewatched 3 games and focused on him yet didn’t put his name?

Good LB’s makes lots of tackles four yards past the line of scrimmage. Great LB’s make lots of tackles at the line of scrimmage.

I think our LBs are about average. We are probably a little better with MV

He’s second in the SEC in tackles. Kids a stud. Thank god we have him.

Crappy LB play is the main reason that L S U hasn't won a game this year, amirite?

What is it with you people? Any time a person posts praising a player, your losers who haven't ever achieved anything, come swooping in like a flock of harpies to dump shite?

Why can't you people just let the praise stand and get on with your miserable lives?

If there is something in your twisted little minds that require you to be negative all the time, just start a different thread.

Ummmm no. Philips has a ton of talent but no where near the instincts and on the field intelligence of our past ILBs.

Kid made bad read after bad read all season and been a large reason for our defensive woes.

Also, the kid is not leader on the field at all. Irisa huge missing piece on this defense since White left.

I don’t know what you people are witnessing sometimes. I appreciate the kid. I believe he’s a hell of a player.

His problem hasn’t been missing the tackle, it’s been being in the right position to make the tackle in the first place

Are you in the Defensive huddles? How do you know who’s a leader of the Defense? Someone being less vocal does not mean he’s not a leader.

I’m looking back laughing at all your O posts and all I can do is laugh at this. You’ve got some balls on you to continue to make unfounded declarations lmao

Phillip's is solid but isn't disruptive. White was disruptive. We don't have a single front seven player who can be disruptive consistently. That's what we miss. Steven's can be but it's not good to need a safety be that person.
