Just read "Case Closed" by Gerald Posner and you will know that Oswald acted alone. Posner started writing the book in an attempt to prove a conspiracy theory and after looking into Oswald's past and all the other evidence he concluded that Oswald acted alone.
Much of the "evidence" that is trotted out to prove a conspiracy is not really fact but urban legend that has been repeated so many times that people accept it as truth.

The official story does not make good sense to anyone who has ever shot a weapon at anything. When the motorcade slowed to make the left turn, anybody could make that shot. It was shooting fish in a barrel.
The story is that LHO waited until they had made the turn and the limo was speeding, at an angle, away from Oswald. This is a much harder shot and has never made sense.

It was also a great way to have your position uncovered by the secret service. If Oswald would have attempted to shoot Kennedy while he was coming up Houston, literally everyone in the world would have known where the shots came from because they all would have been looking right at Oswald. Not only that, but the sun would have been right in his face.
The man wasn't suicidal like a lot of these mass shooters are today. He had every intention of getting away with it. He waited until the motorcade was on Elm because no one would have been looking at him.
