I know I’m in the monority but I’m always up to revisit old characters that I love as long as it is taken seriously by those doing it.
I’m as pumped for Maverick as any movie I can think of in a long time. Definitely not needed and there’s a very good chance it won’t live up to the hype but I can’t wait to see Cruise in that role again.
Hell, I’d have loved to see what happened in ‘76, if Randall “Pink” Floyd played ball again and if they won state, or if Wooderson ever got locked up
Did Will and Skyler make it? Are Andy and Red still running their charter boat? Did Mills get locked up? Is Jules still drifting from town to town, looking for adventures?
Even spinoffs would be awesome imo. Did Cush make it in the league or blow out his knee surfing or skiing?
When did former Special Agent Utah first visit The Continental?
It doesn’t always work obviously, like Dumb and Dumber, but I think that was mainly due to comedy itself changing so much in that 20 year window. They went way too overboard trying to be outrageous, but it was still Harry and fricking Lloyd and had its moments.
Give me all the sequels baws

I sat down and tried to jot down a prequel to “‘The Big Lebowski”’ like When Walter met The Dude but I just couldn’t come up with anything that wasn’t cheese dickish. Then I realized it would be messing up a true blue masterpiece so I aborted the try. I wanted to see a sequel to “‘True Romance”’ but I couldn’t figure out any new characters to put in it. I’d like to see a sequel to “‘Mr Brooks”’ where Kevin Costner and his daughter go on a killing spree together.
