32 year vet here, retired in 2017.
There is still a ton of “fat” in all services (my experience is mostly AF). Branches could easily the reorganized and the same mission (or more) get done with 3/4 or less of the current troops. This is even more true at our bigger expeditionary bases in the Middle East.

I think so. But the majority of the people should be doing service in things like Corps of Engineers doing public works projects. Learn skills to help with adult life, gain a bit of discipline, and do some good for our country. I've been saying this for years.
If it's just adding a frick ton of bodies to combat units then I say absolutely not.

i used to think this was a good idea, then i started to think they would just turn the military into SJW cuck skyscreamers and then these brain dead idiots would have weapons training as well as access to military hardware
