It was fine. Needs more parking but the old garages have a shuttle service that is working great.

Security was easy when I went thru (2 days after they opened) but the arrivals area was a mess with people waiting for cabs and Uber.

Flew out Monday and returned yesterday. Absolutely stunning facility. The main ticketing area feels like you are boarding a shuttle to Mars. Had no problems at 3pm getting off at Loyola or getting through security. Parked in short term with no issues. I do think they need to clean the floors often because they tend to show scuff marks due to light color, but that's a nitpick.

Wife flew out last Wednesday and came back Saturday. She had zero issues. Very pleasant experience.

I still think that all the problems at the airport were planned. Just another way to keep to tourists in the city longer and to milk them to charge them an arm and a leg for food and a spleen and a kidney for drinks.

I have been 3 times since it has opened. All of my trips have been without issue or delay.
-used short term parking and it was a breeze
-used the clear lane for security and longest total time was 3 mins
-no elevator in sky club so did carry a bag upstairs
-no issues boarding or with outbound flight delays
-no issues with arriving flights
-left short term garage easily

Notes-
- I never EVER check bags unless I need to
- I only park at the airport and don’t do Lyft/Uber given I live further away from the airport.

Traffic going out is horrible. Uber/Lyft issues are still horrible. Basically everything inside is fine. Everything outside is horrible. Went there around 4 pm

Honestly i went to atl and back this weekend. Breezes through tsa, awesome breakfast at emerils which was really good. And I got to park right next to the entrance.
It’s really nice.

Aside from the already-known traffic frickery, the only real issue I see is that they need some sort of dimming feature for the windows on the concourses (for those that haven't been yet almost all of the exterior walls for the concourses are floor-to-ceiling windows). The afternoon/evening sun is blinding.

All other issues I've encountered were just employees getting used to the new place and not having gotten routines down efficiently yet.

Anyone used park and fly since the new airport opened? I'm curious on the shuttle times with the move.

Bump Update:
Flew out and back last week. The new airport is a wonderful experience. Concourses are huge, easy to get from place to place, full service ChickFilA inside too. Nice bars to kill time at. The snack places have a ton of choices and healthier options. Restrooms are huge and clean. Parking is much nicer, spaces are easy to find and they have a cool sensor system that shows you where spaces are available. Getting in from Loyola was a non issue, and you actually feel like you’re driving to a real airport.

Only real complaint was TSA, it “alarmed” on my sons baby food and the girl got really shitty with my wife. But they can’t replace the people that worked TSA with the new airport, so that’s probably the only shitty thing that carried over.

I have flown out 3 times now, all no problems at all. The airport is a HUGE upgrade from what we had before. In regards to food options I think MSY is now the best in the country. It is a very cool airport.

I left out Black Friday at 0910. Got there at 0700 to be safe and it took me a total of 10 minutes to get through security. Granted, I have TSA Pre-Check but the regular lines didn't seem too long. Got me some coffee at Cafe du Monde and waited at my gate for 2 hours

Flew out Thursday morning. It was a breeze through security. The place is really nice. Got back Friday a little after 8:00 and waited less than 5 minutes for my checked bag.

Massive upgrade.
