Miserable busybodies, I bet you and those same neighbors wonder why flaming bags of shite get put on your doorsteps too.

I have a Stihl BR800. I'll never go back to using anything else.

Great machine but serious overkill for the average homeowner.

Miserable busybodies,
I work from home and right now there is a blower going at a house caddy-corner behind me. It is a commercial blower that is much louder than regular blowers. I just had to tell a client I would have to call him back as I could barely hear him over the phone. The miserable people are the one's too lazy to use a broom and rake.

Should be outlawed
At the very least they shouldn't be allowed to operate at 120 decibels.
IMO, this is the worst yard equipment anyone has.

Gas operated leaf blowers
What brand do ya'll recommend.
Give a battery blower some thought. I have a gas mower, trimmer, edger, & chainsaw. I also have a gas backpack blower (shindaiwa) but it is collecting dust in the garage. I have two EGO blowers (backpack and handheld). They are clean, quiet, and best of all I don't have something blowing fumes near my face. If you are buying something new, battery-operated blowers can be legit. I tried and returned my EGO mower, but the blowers are great. I use the backpack blowing off the driveway after I mow. The handheld is mainly to keep the porches clean year round.

picked up a used echo backpack blower on craigslist a while back. Bought a new carb for it for $10 on Ebay. Bad arse little machine.

Serious question... if you have any kind of leaves at all in the fall, will a battery blower be of any use to you?

Here is my neighbor right now. He has been out there blowing since 11am.

I'm sure it's loud, but probably not commercial. The commercial ones are usually quieter so guys can use them all day without all the noise. I have the Stihl BG86 and it's only 70 dB.
Stihl BG86

Well, my neighbor who's pic I just posted managed landscape crews his entire career including the one at JC Penney corporate campus in Plano. He has the too of the line commercial equipment for his home so I just assumed it's a commercial blower.

Thread from this spring
ETA: I obviously came around to embrace the gas option, and the difficulty I initially had starting the machine was just me and the blower getting to know one another........once I learned how to do it, starting is easy and reliable.

Ok boomer.

A boomer would never be that much of a wus to have blowers banned.

Yes. My battery powered blowers push something like 530 and 600 CFM. Obviously you can get some gas blowers with more power, but most people don’t need that. In fact a lot of people have gas blowers weaker than my battery blowers. I bought the backpack blower on Craigslist for cheap which is the only reason I have it. My handheld does almost as well and I could use it exclusively if I didn’t just have the other laying around.

NO. Just no.
I had one of those. No power whatsoever. Just weak. The ONLY redeeming quality it had was that you didn't have to mix fuel.
I got a Stihl and put the Makita on the curb on Trash day. Somebody got it overnight. Hope they realize it doesn't take mix.

You should ask him to clean off your yard furniture collection so you can fire up the meth lab in that yard
