Man, there were Bama fans signing a petition to have Saban fired after their loss to us.

well... it's valid to question, not to bitch.
meaning, it seems a reasonble question to ask why adjustments weren't made to stop a running qb that did not present much of a passing threat. it's reasonable to ask why our d can't maintain gap discipline or take good angles on tackles. it's a valid concern to worry that joe may not be able to bail out the D against clemson or oh state.
it's not reasonable to spout fire aranda.

That’s because their fan base can’t remember the name Mike Shula

You are happy with the defense?
Everyone is happy about being 10-0 and the offense.
FYI no coach on our staff is happy with the defense.

It's more concern about having a once-in-a-lifetime offense, with a very real chance to play in New Orleans, for all the beans w a disappointing D. This isn't about Ole Piss or even Bama, or 10-0, or even the SECCG really.
That should be obvious, but I know it's fun to preach to the chirrins about how little they know and how much they take for granted.

If you think this happens only at LSU, you're deluded

Amen
Welcome to the Big 12 and winning in the modern age. We wanted a real offense, we got it. Of course we will give up more points when we score so fast. Our defense just has to be better than Clemson, Ohio State's and Alabama's when it counts. Can't wait to find out instead of playing in the Outback Bowl!

This is hogwash. Our D plays the same way from beginning to end.

When we used to run downhill all the time, what did other teams do? Put 8-9 men in the box. So, why did we have 3 slow arse DL and just 2 LB way off the LOS to stop this Ole Miss running game, especially when they were gashing us? Why not put 3 DL, 2 OLB, so 5 guys wide on the LOS, then 2 LB and a safety or nickel back on second level which would be 8 guys in the box. This way we could have covered every gap they were trying to run through. Then CB cover man and the other safety comes up for 3rd WR or stays back to help the CB.
Just saying, Plumlee was not going to kill us throwing the ball so why not go all out to stop them running all over our asses? That was embarrassing

I kind of agree, but it wouldn’t hurt to fine tune the D
It’s also true that when you drop 50 points on a team, that team’s offense will have plenty of scoring opportunities. It works out that way.

And still bitch about the defense.
Everyone is on how shaky this defense looks. The coaches and players were bemoaning it.
It's a thing.

And I haven't checked the stats but on the first play from scrimmage each possession, Ole Miss HAD to have averaged over 20 yards. It was like we just handed them the ball near midfield each possession. The D was good enough to avoid disaster against a one-dimensional offense. But that simply isn't going to be the case against Clemson, Ohio State or UGA.
