Unfortunately I have a lesion in my brain that needs to be removed. Anybody have or know someone with great experience?

You should definitely base your decision off the OT

A referral would probably be needed before you call a random brain surgeon. Idk how this works tho. Good luck and prayers your way.

I feel like when doing research on where to get brain surgery, a sports message board isn't the best place to look.

Not BR, but Dr. Ben Brown at St Tammany Hospital is awesome. He recently transferred there from the Mayo Clinic.

Assuming this is in fact true, which with the OT it can be a reach, did you consult at Mary Bird Perkins? They deal with brain tumors all the time so they could probably recommend the right surgeon for the job. Also, why were you told you needed this removed and nobody was recommended?

Need more info. If it is a meningioma or something any neurosurgeon could handle it. If thought to be malignant Id get second opinion at MD Anderson

no question. you'd think the guy that told him to get this thing removed would've referred him to someone

"yeahhhh you're gonna need to get this taken out. best of luck."

K Scrantz

I used him to correct issues caused by another physician who removed a tumor. Basically, part of it was still in the ear canal

How and where was it diagnosed? The facility that diagnosed this should have made a referral. If they just told you find someone, call the Neuromedical Center if in BR. They will be able to treat you appropriately.

Did you not receive any recommendations from the people who diagnosed you?

Any of them should be fine, it’s not like it’s... never mind.
