Will President Trump's 3 Visits to Louisiana Be Enough to Put Eddie Rispone Over the Top?

Not trying to disrespect Rispone, but campaigning is not his strongest suit. Imo, he needs this assist from President Trump to have a real shot at unseating the incumbent JBE.
Imo the 3rd visit to Bossier City, coming just two days before election day, will be enough to push Eddie Rispone past the finish line ahead of Edwards.
PS - Who would've ever thought that President Trump would've made 4 trips to Louisiana in one calendar year? One trip to tour the LNG facility, and 3 campaign stops. Not too shabby for a place that isn't even a battleground state. Who would've ever thunk it, but I really believe that this billionaire businessman from Manhattan has a genuine affection for the South. I really don't think his trip to the LSU/Alabama game had much to do with politics. I think President Trump had a sincere interest in the game (I know, somebody will mock the idea that it wasn't political).

Wow. Not a battleground stage yet you need him to make 3 stops. Lol

Trump has never once talked about football. Never once said he had a favorite player nor team, NFL.
There hasn’t been one story by the media, right nor left, about his love of football.
Nothing about football playoffs. Nothing about basketball pools. Nothing about baseball, a sport he played.
Trump has little to no interest in sports. And that is fine.

As is known among non-retards, a battleground *state* is one that's contested in presidential elections, which of course Louisiana is not. Hence the anomaly of Trump making so many trips here.

Other than him owning a pro football team, trying to buy the Bills, and being a huge Yankee fan who went to games often.... you’re pretty much right.
Not to mention boxing/ufc

I think Trump made an impact and any Fed dem will contradict Edward's hypocritical stance in trying to garner GOP voters.
The GOP electorate needs to get out in force to overcome the JBE's busing campaigns in urban areas.
SU and eligible high schoolers in BR were bused to early voting centers last week and we know they're not Rispone voters.
I voted early for Rispone and other GOP candidates.
Let's get out there and vote and defeat Gov. Tax Code.

This is a horrible take - Trump loves sports and was a pretty good athlete in his youth. The reason he doesn’t have a team that he is diehard about is that he loves making friends with pro athletes - he rooted / roots for guys that he’s met and hung out with like Tom Brady, Paul O’Neil, Mayweather, etc.

It’s sad and shows how weak a candidate is that the very popular sitting President has to come to Louisiana 3 times in order to even get to a 50/50 chance of winning.

Scalise should've run. He would've been a shoe-in.

It says a lot for me personally and in general.
Last year a WWII vet that I knew died just before his birthday and Christmas at Ochsner on the North Shore.
All staff on and off duty stood with hands over their hearts for him.

I hope so. Louisiana needs to do something. The Trump economic expansion is by-passing this state.

Early voting is looking grim. I think it’s going to be 4 more years of being last in the rankings.

All early voting is showing is that both sides are getting their voters to the polls

You’re so stupid. He owned a USFL team, is friends with Tom Brady, is friendly with probably every NFL owner, etc. You’re filth.

That's what I find so weird. Louisiana was always going to lean for a Republican candidate. The only way a Republican could lose in LA is if they
Are a weak candidate or if personal disputes catch them (ie Vitter).
I just dont see how Democrats win in LA unless Republicans are indifferent and let them. LA is predominantly Red by a landslide. I'm glad Trump visits but this state should be guaranteed.
