Anyone have some home remedies for Sinusitis?

I'm going to the doc in a few hours to get a shot or two of steroids and probably some antibiotics- just wondering if anyone had any tricks for at home relief on top of that. Symptoms started last week and have deteriorated. I did a neti pot rinse when I felt them coming on, but that didn't help. Neti pot is useless now because neither air or water is gonna be able to flow from the left side of my face at this point.
Been taking a combo of sudafed, antihistamines, NSAIDs to no avail. Feels like my face is ready to explode from pressure. Anyone got any tips for some relief that I haven't tried?

I don't know of any.

Nope, just the "consult a trained medical professional to treat the infection that is literally being kept out of your brain by a thin flimsy piece of bone" thing.
This being the OT, though, brains really aren't at much risk.

My girlfriend is going through the same thing and unfortunately is scheduled for surgery as nothing else is working. Her right sinus is clogged up something good.

Afrin
A last resort for me, but at this point I couldn't use afrin because I can't inhale through my nostril

Just bite the bullet and have an ENT clean out your sinuses and do the surgery
Did it 5 years ago and have had maybe 1 infection since
Simple outpatient procedure. You’re down for the weekend

XLEAR. Its xylitol sinus rinse and they have a nasal spray. It's not a drug. Give it a shot.

You don't have to. Just squirt that stuff in there and let the magic happen. You'll be breathing through your nose in 15 seconds.

Netty pot works every time

Just got over sinusitis and bronchitis this past week after trying to deal with it for over a month. The only thing that helped me get over it was the antibiotics, steroid shot, nasal spray and inhaler. You'll feel better in 3-5 days.

Yes. These will help, stop the over the counter stuff.
Rest and make sure you get the nasal spray and inhaler.

Once the sudafed (with the good stuff) stopped working then I knew it was time to head into the doctor.

Get some Bengay... Rub it on your balls...
It will burn so bad, you'll forget about the sinus pain...
Side note: must be something with the front, I've been going through the same thing...

Get some saline rinse nasal spray and use it daily. This will go a long way preventatively to keep it in check.

getcha a neti pot. works wonders. all it is is a salt water solution that cleans your head out.
