I believe this was what many of us argued when gay marriage was legalized nationwide back in 2014. We are seeing the erosion of western values and a fall back to the decadence that was running rampant shortly before the collapse of the Roman Empire.

History never repeats itself, but it does rhyme.

The slope is going to continue

Normalization of pedophilia/bestiality/incest is the next degenerate frontier

Please don't tell me that you're that naive? Men in women's bathrooms, what they are teaching kids... yes that impacts every day life.

Let people live their life. It doesn't affect you.
There is a lot of evil in the world that doesn't impact me directly and practically. Are you saying we should turn a blind eye to evil so long as you aren't personally (negatively) impacted by it?

Where did you get that standard?

So what is worse?

A long married gay couple or a hetero that's been married and divorced multiple times.

Tell me, sport.

Of course it was. Maybe certain gay couples didn’t intend it to be, but the crowd behind the above movements did.

The cheapening of marriage and the ease of divorce is a bad thing as well...

Tell me sport, why can't both be just as bad as the other?

Both are bad. You don't accept one immorality because another immorality exists.

We should be calling out those who treat marriage as a union of convenience and selfish gratification.

Not really. It was just the next step in a NEVER ending crusade for "victims". It you are a progressive your entire identity is tied up in to one of two general categories (or perhaps both). That is, you either see yourself as a "victim" and/or see yourself as a "champion" of victims. If no "victims" exist, then progressive/liberal's identity as a victim and/or champion of victims ceases to exist.

There is a long history of 2nd class citizens in the US and people being treated unequally. In the early history of this country black people and women were treated as second class citizens. As time went on they gained more and more equal rights. Today, while many desperately don't want to acknowledge it, they are considered equal to anyone else under the law. The women's movements and civil rights movements of the 1900's largely started to fizzle out because...they were successful. So progressives needed new "victims". Gay people became the new victim because there was a right they didn't have under the law...the right to marry. That changed in 2015. So again, the victim and champions of victims had "won"

But "winning" is not the actual goal. ALWAYS having a victim to fight for is the real purpose. It is absolutely necessary to their identity. Once gay people won their fight liberals/progressives needed a new group of "victims" for whom to fight. Enter transgenders. Someone had to fill the void. Women had fought...and won fundamental equality. Black people had fought...and won fundamental equality. Gay people had fought...and won fundamental equality, So the question became who can we fight for next?

1) Just because a man is gay doesn't mean he's in the woman's restroom.

2) Not a single female I have ever known, or known anyone to know, or have ever heard of, has found a "man" in a woman's restroom.

3) I know what I am teaching my kids. I'm sorry if you don't teach your kids, and they have to learn from elsewhere.

So you are saying gay marriage is "evil"?

If that is how you feel, I can't help you.

I teach my kids that evil exists (real evil, not the "gay" evil) and I teach them how to deal with it.

Of course it was. Those idiots said you can’t legislate love. Well earth to dumbass, a lot of people love a lot of things. I actually brought up the idea of child sex predators one day being “normal” in the same way that gay marriage was and is now to a liberal friend of mine. He laughed and said that I was reaching way too far to have a counter argument. Well here we are today, and I will let current events speak for themselves. Not to mention that this whole movement is nothing more than the normalization of mental illness.

For every 100 threads discussing the "evil" of gay marriage, there are zero threads discussing the cheapening of marriage.
