Look what happens when we don’t have Kendrich Williams playing more than 10 min

We win.

You're an idiot. He's posted positive +/- in every game. He's the reason you win. Not the reason you lose.

He's a hustle/energy guy. If you have to play them more than 10-15 MPG, it's usually not good. Thankfully we've gone from him looking like the most competent wing with a pulse the Pels have had since Ariza was traded, to being properly slotted into a bench role.

Hit the nail on the head. Kendrich should be & will be a rotational player because his energy is infectious he's smart, and plays the right way. However, he's not a guy you rely on to win basketball games. I don't care what his +/- is.

I mean Brandon Ingram has -7.8 this season. Is he the reason we lost 4 games?

No but the starters +/- can largely be thrown out because they're playing small and without major pieces. They've fallen behind early and the bench has kept pace by dominating other benches.
Whereas the bench +/- shows matchups we'll see all year long. Pretty simple.
Add in that Kenrich this year has played a ton WITH the starters, it's actually damn impressive he can post a positive +/- through a 1-4 start.
Granted there's like 6 people on this board that can have a basketball conversation outside of talking points from The Jump so...

His absence wasn’t a critical factor either way.

Like BPM and RPM, RAPTOR is a plus-minus statistic that measures the number of points a player contributes to his team’s offense and defense per 100 possessions, relative to a league-average player. For instance, a player with an offensive RAPTOR rating of +2.1 boosts his team’s performance by 2.1 points per 100 offensive possessions while he is on the floor. Likewise, a player with a defensive RAPTOR of +3.4 would improve his team’s defensive performance1 by 3.4 points per 100 possessions while he’s on the court.

To anybody who actually understands basketball it’s extremely obvious that Kenrich is a winning player. He’s the smartest player on the team.

I was very impressed with him the other night vs the Clippers when he knew what was coming and tried to tell Grey to rotate into the paint but Grey was WAAAYYYY too late. I love Kenny. He knows the game. If he could develop into a PJT I'd be so freaking happy.

Can’t shoot. Have a losing record since he’s been on the team. Maybe he can retire and be a coach instead if y’all think so highly of him. He’s basically a lesser Josh Hart

Kenrich is currently shooting 33% from 3, which is the league average. His career number is a point higher. That really is good enough.

I think any team in basketball would take him. Maybe not get a ton of minutes but he is a good ball player. We score enough, we don't have to depend on his shooting. But he defends and busts his but on the boards, two things that the team as a whole doesn't do well.

you really hate the dude huh? guess what the other things he does more than make up for the lack of points dude does the dirty work and gets in there for offensive boards like crazy even when he's surrounded by 4 guys from the other team

He's posted positive +/- in every game. He's the reason you win. Not the reason you lose.
But that being said, he has played 49% of our minutes, and we're +4.1 net rating when he's on the court and -11.6 when he's off.
I think playing him is ok. But if he's getting 30 minutes a night, that could be an issue.

Anyone actually watching the game last night knew that Kenrich had to easily be in the + column, if not outright leading the team in +/- despite going 2/8 from the field and 0/4 from 3. We're lucky to have a guy like him. Likely won't cost much. Can play "small-ball" big if an absolute necessity.

On this team, he's definitely a PF. When Zion gets back, I don't see Kenrich getting minutes at SF behind Ingram. Those will belong to Hart. When we are fully healthy, with Melli's poor defense, I see Kenrich as being Zion's sub at PF and getting a dozen or so minutes per game.
