Based on what they have now about 0% chance.
If they vote to impeach then they turn it over to the Senate and Nancy loses the talking point it goes to Mitch. He would drive the narrative every day.

Whatever happens it will be over by New Year's.
A Senate trial has to end by then.
5 Democrat Senators running for President including favorites Bernie and Warren.
Primary voting starts early February. They need to be campaigning not sitting on arse in Senate trial in January.
If they actually pass Articles of impeachment it needs to happen by Thanksgiving.
The clock is ticking.
Trump will be gone or celebrating his acquittal by New Year's.

Very logical except for one thing. What if the Dem candidate is such a poo poo head that you don't want anyone noticing him/her?

in a few months impeachment well be a thing of the pass. By then, they well find something much better to go with. One thing is for sure is that they well keep searching everything n anything regarding Trump.

This is what I keep saying. It's a political move that they want to carry throughout the election. They give no shits if it actually happens. The goal is disinformation for votes, thats all.

Would they have to recuse?

That’s the true intent of this “procedural” vote today, it’s being reported the house voted for an impeachment inquiry. Double edged sword for Nancy as it will be hung around all their necks. She’s a smarter politician than this

They must recuse!

I think so too, but she's stuck. She's got to appease the moonbat left (which is a depressingly large segment of Dem voters these days) but she knows it's a political loser. She's straddling the fence as best she can.

. . . or until Lindsey Graham grows a pair. Which one are you betting on?
Posted on 10/31/19 at 2:17 pm to ShortyRob
Yep. Mueller didn't work but they were able to control the news narrative and hold that over Trump for two years.
But it ended and they had nothing to go after Trump with.
So they created a new scandal and they're treating this the same way as Mueller. They're not going to vote, give up power, and let this end. They're going to slow play, drag it out, and use it to control the news narrative like they did during the Muller Investigation. In their eyes preferably past November 2020.
Their motives are very transparent.

They are also trying to make it so he can't select another Supreme Court Justice.
They can make as much noise as they like on that front. Ultimately the House doesn’t have dick to say about it. It rests in the hands of Cocaine Mitch.

1) They have the goods and you are wrong; or
2) They have nothing and you are 100% correct

If they had the goods they would have voted already.

Based on the last four years we know which one is right.

Nothing in the Constitution that would prohibit them from participating.
But one way or the other they want it over by New Year's.
It's bad enough they would be locked down all of December for a trial.
Def creates an advantage for Biden on campaign trail if his chief competitor cannot get out there on the prairie.
