Averaging 6.7 yards per carry in SEC games and 6.6 vs ranked opponents. 683 rushing yards and 8 tds on the season. He may very well be the best back in the conference. Great vision, phenomenal cuts, can absolutely make opposing players look silly at times, also runs tough and can catch as well as pass protect.

His unrelenting effort makes up for being a step slower and a bit smaller than some of our backs in the past

And many on here complain that our freshmen backs don’t get more carries...at least he has somewhat shut those posters up

Clyde is a matchup nightmare against opposing linebackers in space.

He will be huge in the efforts to take down the Gumps in Trashcaloosa.

It's nuts right? Price has shown flashes, while Emery just hadn't done much. Why complain while your starter is averaging 6+ a carry?

They were doing this while we had the number one offense in the country. I think the staff must be pretty good at putting our best players on the field. Both might be more talented but it doesn’t make them ready to be our primary backs. CEH finds the holes!

He had a great game last week. He’s not stuttering at the line of scrimmage as much any more. Seems to be hitting the holes a lot quicker.

If only we could run a 4th and 1 with goal line formation.

The running game in general turned the page I think 4 games into the season at Vandy.

Apparently we scrapped a new gap blocking scheme and went back to plain zone.

CEH has been great.

He’s going to be a nightmare next weekend.

Nobody is really stopping y’all from throwing the ball but if y’all are also pounding the ball at will with him, you’re impossible to stop.

Alabama’s weakness on defense is stopping guys like him and getting off the field on 3rd down. If he’s running well AND y’all can be balanced with favorable down and distances, it’s going to be a very long day for the Alabama defense.

It’s fascinating how speed and power of previous running backs sets an expectation with our fans that those attributes are required to be a good RB. It’s as if being a step slower and smaller somehow disqualifies his impressive stats because some fans take highschool film and recruit rankings stars as the ultimate qualifier of ability and have anointed Emery as the next Barry Sanders. Emery isn’t even better than Price at this point, I don’t care what his ceiling is, or how many ankles that he breaks in PRACTICE, until he produces ACTUAL value on the field in a game and improves himself to reach his high ceiling he will continue to take a back seat.

Clyde is the best running back on our team PERIOD. And he will have an incredible NFL career.

He's very underrated. He is just fun to watch he's always breaking someone's ankles in the open field and making them look silly.

I would like to remind everyone that Leonard Fournette averaged 6.5 ypc his sophomore and junior year. So Clyde is basically having Fournette type consistency!!

CEH is solid, he's only over shadowed because our how incredible LSU's air game is right now. Glad we have him and not someone else.

Check in if ya saw this coming. I did. Ppl forget he runs a legit 4.4-4.5 40, has elite change of direction ability, solid hands, good n pass pro. He’s a mix between Darren Sproles and Jones-Drew imo. He will play on Sundays

Let me say this about Emery that hasn’t been posted. On his only carry on the FLA game before he got pulled, Deculus missed his block (Zuniga came right across his face & made the tackle) that prevented Emery from a very long run or even a TD. The whole was huge & only a safety in the way. 76 makes his block & who knows what happens, Emery needed a play like that for his confidence

He's not flashy. He's not as freakishly gifted and athletic as Guice and Fournette, which our fan base has become accustomed to.

He's a workhorse. He doesn't miss an assignment. And he is way better than we give him credit for. Doesn't help that he has a Heisman QB and 3 first rounder WR's around him to steal that recognition.

If we can run effectively, we win that game.
