No way crosby is close to top 5. He’s got money but he’s no billionaire. I’d guess he’s worth less than 500mil.
Chouest has money and probly worth over a billion.
Goldring is sneaky rich; owns sazerac and they have some bigtime liquor brands in their stable- buffalo trace, pappy, fire ball, taaka, wheatley, southern comfort, mezcal.
Coleman is probably a billionaire
Benson is over 2 billion
Cenac is probably not a billionare but could reach it- he’s fairly young.
Cannizaro has big money but not sure where he stands.
Jim bernhard - sold shaw for 3 billion
I won’t mention a certain northline guy
I won’t mention a certain audubon place guy either
They know who they are and they know they ain’t on the list

Good list. Another person who flies under the radar is Boatner Reily. The Glazers don't live here year round, but he owns Manchester United and the Tampa Bay Bucs.

He sold his company to Enterprise and made a killing and rebuilt it within 5 years and resold it again to Kirby....BUT...when he resold to Kirby he had much more debt than the first time he sold to Enterprise.

He also just got busted smuggling over 20,000 alligator eggs from Florida...well he didnt....but one of his drivers did

bruh....Chouest has over $1.5b worth of offshore vessels tied up not making any money right now......his debt to revenue ratio is upside down....he's been hemorrhaging money for the past 5 years.

If the debts were paid off then he is only losing the depreciation. Which creative math can absolve. Except for the true depreciation, which maintenance is the cost.

the one good thing is that he owns the shipyard that built the vessels....he also owns the dock and property where he has all his vessels stacked.
They keep all their vessels in very good condition and maintain them to the best standards in the industry...even the stacked ones.
But, port risk insurance on over 40 vessels that arent making a dime has got to be expensive.
