Makes sense to redshirt Emery but then what if Evans enters the mix next year and Clyde stays? Then Curry is 100% gone and there isn’t going to be enough touches to keep Clyde, Price, Emery and Evans all happy! With this scenario, I can really seeing Emery leaving to.

I've always thought Emery was a little bit over hyped. Didn't understand his 5* rating but he's going to be just fine. Not every freshmen is polished enough to get a bunch of touches. Davis Price just happens to be the guy right now behind Clyde.

There’s been 10 threads started about John Emery. He’s going to get his shot at some point, but Clyde has the hot hand and TDP seems to have the coaches trust as next in line. No need for panic.
Team, one heart beat
maybe the freshman doesn't understand the concept yet.
Alabama stacks RB's like a barn...
there is but one ball...
earn your spot on the field...it takes time

I get so sick of LSU "fans" latching on to a player because of their high school highlight film and wanting to see them play regardless of their actual performance on the field.

Frustration is definitely building his dad made a couple tweets threatening the coaching staff after the auburn game.
I understand being frustrated, but that is so low class. Especially for the dad of a kid to do. If this is true. Can you link?

The other dudes are just better

I have heard from two sources inside the program that say he is PISSED, really pissed. They say he feels the coaches are making an example of him and he doesn’t like it.
How are they making an example of him? He’s made mistakes and joe obviously isn’t comfortable with him in there to block and know his responsibility. I agree I would like to get him more touches on jet sweeps and the like, but he’s gotta realize that 5* doesn’t automatically mean first day starter.
CEH is playing at a top level and Price is bigger and more physical. There’s not some grand conspiracy to withhold touches from him.
He’ll be fine once he settles in and that takes different amounts of time for each player. If he transfers, he didn’t fit in the “one team one heartbeat” motto anyway.

Your posting of the "tweets" is not showing up...

Does Emery have more breakaway speed than the other two? If so, it would be nice if he was a bigger part of the offense. We could use someone who won’t get caught from behind, especially if we continue to struggle in the red zone.
Yes, and in years past that would have been critical. But this year we are an efficient passing offense. The backs that play should be the ones who can protect the passer and not fumble. When CEH gets caught from behind Burrow will just throw for a TD a couple of plays later, No Big Deal.

Still waiting. Repost it!

The obsession with Emery is fascinating. It’s like his fanboys don’t even watch the games.
I don’t know why it’s fascinating, unless you are just ignorant of the fact that he is, by far, the most talented back on LSU’s team. That’s not to say he is the best back. I assume, like everyone else, that he is making too many mistakes. But his physical talent is without equal among our other backs.

Yeah and everyone thought Gary James was the most talented back on the 1982 team coming out of HS till a dude at 5'8" 190 lbs named Dalton Hilliard showed up and the rest is history. James was bigger, faster and more heralded but Hilliard was simply better. If Emery leaves he leaves other backs will step up. Emery still thinks he can outrun and juke everyone like he did in HS. Hope he stays and learns how to play college RB.

Does Lanard leaving and Emery not seeing the field more effecting his family? ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Icongeauxtigers.png)

Thank you sir. Didn’t realize this thread was still going around and I had earned my personal record for downvotes. I was just in fact asking if anyone knew him or anyone close to him and how he was dealing with being the 3rd guy right now.

When he earns more carries, he'll get them.
