Defensive strategy against Alabama if Tua plays

What do you think is the best approach? Personally, I would bring pressure early and often and jam their receivers at the line all day. Disrupt those timing throws and make Tua run around on that bad ankle and take some hits.

Zone. Clemson showed this last year.
If we go man, their receivers will beat us. They are as good as advertised

quote:obviously you aren't Aranda bc he does not believe in bringing pressure early. Better chance of bringing pressure after the game than during the 1st half

The only answer from every rant poster ever is to bring pressure in man to man

Make him run around. They can sugar coat it all they want, a high ankle sprain is a high ankle sprain. Being "blocked into him" a couple of times wouldnt hurt either.

Force Tua out the pocket early in the game by sending pressure up the middle. let’s see how good that ankle really is. mix and match zones and blitzes seems like the only way to keep their quick passing game off balance. switching on crossing routes can really throw them off rhythm, but that’s tough to do consistently for college DBs. a lot of it is winning 1 on 1’s which you just can’t do every play, so limiting big plays will be key. holding them under 28 is a job well done by the defense.

Aranda has always done his job. Offense has done nothing.

Jam and pressure. Hopefully we can do 1 or the other. If both he has the worse game of his career.

Sweep the leg.
Just kidding.
I do agree that we should make him run though.

Look for rub route and decleat the wr trying initiate contact. Eventually, they will be unwilling or physically unable to do so.
Pressure up the middle and hands up if you don’t beat your guy.

Use the Sagan tactic.....all out blitz to put the opposing QB out of the game

Call Tua's momma and tell her to watch varsity blues?

What the patriots do. Give them the 3 yard slant but wrap and tackle the shite out of them immediately.
