We didn't play clean and didn't win decisively... 508 yards only 23 pts...

People will say it doesn’t matter but college football is so media driven that it really does influence rankings what top pundits say about us. You’re a fool if you think all the voters and committee members actually watch a large number of the games. They probably watch a few per weekend at best.

since when does anyone look at at total yards as a measure of beating an opponent instead of the score especially coming from the rant?

If you pay attention to his picks, he puts a high value on style points and eye test. How you win is as important as who you beat for Herbstreit. Alabama absolutely demolished Arkansas with their backup QB; that's pretty impressive. LSU survived against Auburn. I'll just take the win.
