I agree. That erratic play I saw yesterday won't cut it. Championship teams consistently destroy their opponents game after game.

I want LSU to win ALL their games, but especially Alabama. It's just that after what I saw on the tail end of this game yesterday, I'm not sure LSU can pull off a win over Bama.

No one other than LSU fans care if LSU is ranked #3. It’s not as controversial as you think it is.

Doesn’t matter these teams will be in the CFP in no particular order

Clemson
Alabama/LSU winner
tOSU/PSU winner
Alabama/LSU loser if SEC west champ wins SECCG

Outside shot

1 lose Alabama/LSU
1 lose Oklahoma
1 lose tOSU/PSU

Long shot

1 lose Oregon
1lose Utah
Undefeated Minnesota

I agree....LSU not getting love.

That's okay win and it'll take care of itself. Also, I think the field conditions made for sloppy play from both teams.

Let me know when “Herbie” is on the selection committee. His opinion means nothing

Except for the fact that what he says influences millions of opinions, including those of the committee. To say his opinion means nothing is just dumb.

We could be #4 at the 3rd week of December as long as we get into the playoffs is what matters. We control our own destiny. All we have to do is win.

And that standard is what: not play a top 10 team all season after getting blown out in the NC?

What has Bama done to stay at no1?

Herbie's ratings via his latest twitter post
Appears to me if he has us #2 behind OSU, and I'm pretty sure this is the last ranking he has published.

Actually it makes zero sense to beat the no9 team and drop a spot.

That’s not true, Clemson beat Texas A&M by 2 points last year. Championship teams have close games all the time.

We made some mistakes yesterday that cost us points. I thought AU’s front 7 would have an impact on the game; they did. I didn’t think they would totally halt LSU’s offense; they didn’t. What surprised me were LSU’s mistakes. Bad penalties, execution looked off at times and didn’t finish a couple of drives. LSU could have put this game away, but they didn’t. I thought the defense played a great game. They forced punts more than not, had an interception and played some great redzone defense when AU busted open some big plays. Stingely’s muffed punt really hurt us. All in all, another tight game between two rivals, and we beat another top 10 team.

I understand putting Ohio St. above LSU right now. They laid it on a very good Wisconsin team. Alabama shellacked a very bad Arkansas team. I’m pretty sure Arkansas is the worst team in the SEC. However, they did it with a backup QB. So, give them credit for that.

The polls and Herbstreit’s opinion will take care of itself if we beat Bama.

Lsu didn’t look like shite, frick you guys. Defense was suffocating, only allowed two long plays. Offense was great until they started sputtering in the 4th. This WAS a blowout, that once again, the SEC refs did everything they could to keep it close. The more you turn a blind eye to it, the worse it’ll get. Don’t let trolls from other teams convince you the refs are fair and everyone gets hosed by bad calls. They don’t. They want it to continue.
