Someone posted an article this summer where an official from another conference talked about how every other conferences officials get together in the off-season to help one another get better at their craft. All the other conferences except the SEC, our officials aren’t invited to these functions because they’re viewed as corrupt and like a mafia type run organization loyal to one program.

How can so many officials and executive members of a conference have ties to one member school and still maintain the pretense of fairness and impartiality?

Think he was responding to South Carolina coach Muschamp's public comments about requesting clarification on some calls vs UF. In fact I'm sure that's what it was since Sankey addressed going public by a coach.

I’ve only been watching SEC football since the early 80s so I can’t talk about before that. I can say that although there was always some bias Pre-Slive compared to Post-Slive is lightyears apart. Starting with him, or maybe it was the fact more TV cameras came with his era, things started getting much worse. But Sankey has taken it to a new low, It seems like since his arrival it’s become much more over the top, more frequent and more blatant.

There’s no transparency in NCAA officiating and there’s no accountability. Officials are WAY too protected. Win or lose...NCAA players and coaches get in front of a camera and answer questions while officials are whisked away never to be seen for another 7 days. Put the head referee in front of a camera and make them answer questions as well. They make enough money per game to justify it.

Two things........first, follow the money.....the playoff money as in Alabama is a lock & thus must be protected, everybody else is a maybe.
Second, the school presidents could fix this in one meeting if they wanted to. All they hear from us is yada, yada, yada!

this shite is NOT hard to believe. the sec is a joke.

these refs should be subject to fines and imprisonment for the shite they have gotten away with.

Veteran SEC official Matt Austin moved into the TV studio to offer expert analysis and rules interpretations in real-time on game days. Matt is not an employee of the SEC and is able to provide his independent perspective through various ESPN platforms, but primarily through the SEC Network. The SEC is the only conference to have an officiating analyst specifically assigned to its conference network.

Ah, a neutral party who just happened to work for the SEC for 20 years and is still employed by their network. Great to have such an “independent perspective”! frick Greg Sankey, what a lying arse politician douche.

Why exactly are we the only conference who needs a “””neutral””” third party SEC ref to spread bullshite propaganda rule interpretations during broadcasts again?

Even better, when their impartial expert agrees with the on field officials 100% of the time, will any national sportscaster have the balls to call them on the giant statistical improbability of that?

PROTIP: No. None of them will have the spine.

You have to know that Gump HQ is not loving all of the positive exposure that LSU is getting. I have a feeling that if we don’t play well on Saturday, we are gonna be subjected to some shifty BS from the officials, particularly in the 2nd half.

And every time I see Matt "King Kong Bundy" Austin come on the screen, I want to punch my TV. They are all a bunch of spineless douchebags.

This may actually put heat on these frickers to call our game square.

Sorry you were sacrificed Tennessee, but we’ve been arse raped by these fricks for a while, and if your screwing means we get it called even, consider it a moral victory.

God, the SEC and the NFL take zero responsibility for fricked up officiating. It’s fricking embarrassing
